I think Herbert would excel beyond everyone else if he had all of the pieces that Mahomes, Allen and Brady have had over the past three or four years. He'd be my choice if I could be sure to surround him with equal quality.

What's interesting is that you could have done this poll each of the last 20 years, and I bet Brady would have only been the winner once or twice at most.

At this point in his career, Mahomes has been consistently excellent and he's 8-3 in the postseason. I'll take him for now, but I have Burrow right behind him.

The dirty little secret with Brady is it's always been very difficult to justify him as the greatest or best QB outside of possibly volume. His efficiency trails or is roughly equivalent to several of his own peers, and quite frankly the talent level now is significantly better and better used than the early 2000's or even 2010's, imo.

The only other argument is "but he wins a lot."
