Here's mine:

This play always shows up on the worst umpire calls of all time lists, and was one of the plays mentioned when arguing in favor of replay.

I won't say Jerry Meals got the call right, but I will say if the play would have been reviewed it would have been a call stands. Yes, the throw beat Lugo by a mile, but it looks like the catcher whiffed on the tag. It's possible the tag grazed Lugo's thigh, but there's no video evidence to confirm this.

I believe batting average still matters. I'll take a hit over a walk.

Among fans at least, I think Rose being in the HOF is a popular opinion.

Jim Joyce definitely didn’t get the call right. That’s a matter of fact not opinion.

PNC Park is not as majestic or awe inspiring as every announcer would like to make it seem. Especially when there’s 25 people in the stands.

DH is ghey

Greg Maddox is the best pitcher of all time. Had he not played in the steroid era, the numbers would back that up.

It was funny when Pedro threw Zimmer to the ground

I don't remember this play but he was clearly out by a mile. Ump thought he missed the tag. I guess it happens.

I think most people believe Rose should be in the hall of fame. His credentials have nothing to do with why he's not.

Joyce didn't get the call right. Even he says so. He feels awful about it and quite frankly, I feel bad for him.

Cal Ripken's consecutive game streak is bogus. Lou Gehrig is still the iron man.

It was a tag play, not a force play, and there's no clear replay to prove that a tag was ever applied.

no shit.

Batting average matters. It's hard to be a productive hitter if you're hitting in the low .200's (unless you walk a lot and/or hit for a lot of power). But that's where the problem with batting average lies... it ignores walks and assumes all hits are equal. it's an important stat, but it's a flawed one.

Except the video posted? Clearly got the leg. I'm not sure why you mentioned a tag play since the catcher was nowhere near the plate.

Except... there is. lol

I'm very confused. How could somebody dispute that the tag hit above Lugo's knee?

If that's "disputable" then my whole life has been turned upside down. I guess Ray Rice may have never hit his wife in that surveillance clip either.
