We won't feign surprise at you betting large amounts against the Niners in the playoffs.

Those were the days when GB beat the 49ers every time they met in the playoffs. Inexplicably, the oddsmakers in Vegas had the Niners favored by 3.5. I was stunned. I hauled ass up to Vegas but by the time I got there the line had dropped to 3. I thought 3.5 was a lock but wasn't quite as happy with only 3. I put the bet down anyway and that lucky ass play cost me 5 grand. Since the Niners won by 3 I only got a push instead of winning 5 Gs. If instant replay had been in effect that year Rice's fumble on that drive would have ended the game. That game kind of cured me from big betting on football. Too many crazy things happen.

In a perfect world, all games would be fair and square without any officiating mistakes. I still feel robbed from Cary Williams not getting ejected from the Super Bowl. It may have made a difference.

There are bad calls all the time. Every team gets screwed at some point. We caught a break and I'll take it.
