Both teams are irrelevant.
You'll find out how irrelevant NDSU is in a couple of months.

No, only dropdeadfredIt's amazing that Minnesota continues to defend their shitty OOC schedule this decade considering how their conference mates have no problem scheduling tougher games.

Don't lump as all in based on one poster who is a little deranged
Never said NDSU was irrelevant. Very impressive program this century. Minnesota and SDSU on the other hand...
NDSU is impressive, but no one really cares about FCS. Not sure this year, but last year the FCS championship game only beat 1-2 bowl games in ratings.......I mean, I think Potato bowl got better ratings
I would put just about any P5 team as more relevant than NDSU
Dude, there is hardly a single team on the ooc that decade that didn't have a legit season before we played them.
2007 USC finished #3 in the country, then we played em in 2010 & 2011.
2009 Middle Tennessee St went 10-3 and got votes for the EOS Top 25, then we played em a few years later, 2014 I think?
2009 TCU went 12-1 and finished #6 in the country, then in 2010 they went 13-0 and finished ranked #2 in the nation after the bowl games and in 2011 they went 11-2 and came in #14. Not long after that 3 year period, they were on our scedule.
2012 Oregon St finished the season #20 in the rankings. Couple years later we played em.
2012 SJSU finished 11-2 and #21 in the EOS Top 25, and we played them the next 2 years.
2013 Fresno St went 11-2 and came in RV, in 27th place, they were #21 in the polls before losing their bowl game.
2014 Colorado St finished the season 10-3 and RV, we played them the next 2 seasons.
2017 Fresno St went 10-4 and finished in RV.
2018 they finished the season 12-2 AFTER we beat them, and #18 in the EOS Top 25.
But what am I thinking, you all can boast about WOFFORD and Montana and Nevada, lol.
How many fans does NDSU draw?
Fargo dome holds 20k and they don't sell out
What's the population of the Fargo "metro area"compared to Minneapolis St Paul?
Not even close, but Fargo has enough to support a 20k Stadium. Their student section is free and they still can't get students there, they just shrunk student section again. It's in part because most games aren't even competitive.
Gophers have attendance issues, so I'm not trying cast stones.
NDSU fans legit believe if they joined the B1G in 2020 they'd be in contention for B1G
Mpls/St paul alone have ~700, the entire metro area is ~3 million. The population of No Dak is ~750K, Fargo is probably 100K....
Just an FYI, I've seen some of their comments. They also Believe Oregon will struggle stopping their run game, will have to load box, and their WR's will beat you one on one, that their Lb's are better than Wisconsin's and they'll give you guys fits and they won't turn the ball over a lot like Wi did, so good chance they get the upset
I don't know what you nutjobs were thinking scheduling them the week before you play us.I mean, I won't say it's impossible...but I'd put the chances at 20%.

They figured none of their conference opponents would be ranked, so they had to have a few teams in their ooc schedule, or else. lol
None of the ones you played last year during the regular season ended up ranked. Only Utah in the CCG. Doesn't take away from how good Oregon was though. Can't recall a season where Oregon played 0 ranked PAC teams.
