Back on the road Gallo hit 3 HRs tonight with 6 RBIs. Hitting 359 with 9 HRs and 22 RBIs. What a start.
Heard about that. Let's get this guy up to Round Rock.

I'm ecstatic about how well we're doing and how well - make that fantastic - some of the "fill-in" players are playing. But I do think Profar and Soto will make a difference in the long run.

We've got an awful small sample size on the Murphy's, Wilson's, etc and although we're delighted, there is going to come a time that they may get over exposed. After all, there's a reason they're careers are what they are.

Swear I'm not trying to be negative. Just pointing out it's still early and there much which can happen.

Been slammed with two major ventures that occupy majority of my time. Rarely get here. Do catch 2/3 or so of the innings of every game if just On while working. Maybe my detachment has it wrong but I'm thinking ... in no particular order

-Jason Frasor way better this year than at this point last year
-Soria ... doesn't scare me like Joe did
-Wash seems to be making better decisions ... Tim Bogar?
-Josh Wilson is not a 3d baseman ...
-TEX strategy may be going with a roster of folks nobody knows ... seems to be working out
-Is Perez the best SP ... or just lucky?
-Craig Gentry isn't the same dangerous guy he was for TEX

-Jason Frasor way better this year than at this point last year.....AGREE
-Soria ... doesn't scare me like Joe did....AND TOTALLY AGREE
-Wash seems to be making better decisions ... Tim Bogar? INTERESTING OBSERVATION.....HOPE YOU'RE RIGHT.
-Josh Wilson is not a 3d baseman ... UNFORTUNATELY NEITHER IS KOUZMANOFF.....hahaha
-TEX strategy may be going with a roster of folks nobody knows ... seems to be working out
-Is Perez the best SP ... or just lucky? LUCK HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT IMO.
-Craig Gentry isn't the same dangerous guy he was for TEX

So then we'll just need Holland, Soto, and Profar back. But as far as soto goes, is he gonna make THAT much of a difference? I love chirinos back there. He's got a really assuring and confident presence

The ERA was 2.89 thru 10 games with him catching before
today's game. Since he knows and has worked with Perez before
I bet he'll be behind the dish every time Perez pitches.

I would say you're pretty spot-on with this analysis. I would say that Perez is definitely good, not lucky. I was at his first shutout and watched a small part of the one today and he's just mixing up and locating all of his pitches. He's been scary good and I think his ascent to top #2 starter status will continue.

Eh, wasn't sure what level he was at. Just knew it wasn't triple A.

He's playing in high A ball. Obviously knocking the cover off the ball. But he still needs lots of seasoning it seems. But from just reading about him, it looks like he's made a quantum leap from last season. Still K's too much, but what power bat doesn't?

Let's keep this train rolling folks. Seattle isn't playing well, would be nice to kick em while they're down and win a series at Safeco. Hoping to see some guys back in the lineup/ rotation for good.

The Mariners needed a 9th inning comeback today to avoid being swept at Safeco by the Astros. You guys will be fine.

OAKLAND, Calif. — A year and 19 days after his last major league start, lefty Matt Harrison will return to the Rangers’ starting rotation Sunday in Seattle, manager Ron Washington said Wednesday.

kind of not news, but a welcome sight to see anyway.

A few weeks ago we looked dead in the water. I take nothing for granted. A hot pitcher can make all the difference.

Ryan Rua is having himself a heck of a season too (Frisco 3B). But I guess that is for discussion in the Minor League thread...

Seems nobody goes there much which is why I throw a tidbit or two on these game discussion threads.
