Series Thread: Your Texas Rangers at the Colorado Rockies 5/5 - 5/6

The Rangers just can't hit. And that's been going on for a few years now. Beltre and Fielder have combined for 3 HRs so far. That's your 3-4 guys and we're 6 weeks into the season. Throw in Andrus horrible year and Martin's slow start, plus no Profar and weak hitting catchers and there you have it.

Is it Magadan? Wash? Overrated talent? Who knows. Its a long season and sure things could turn around. But its hard to watch them not even be competitive in some of these games. Something is missing in that clubhouse right now.

Martin's slow start? He was hitting over .300 until a week or so ago. do you just make stuff up? Never mind.

Both matchups are against lefties (which Texas has hit well against this year). I think we'll see a different team these upcoming 2 games.. compared to the last few.

Looks like Ron read my comment last night. Ha ha. I like Choice in the 2 hole and while he's not hitting that well...yet, I think he is a perfect 2 hole hitter. He hits to right and right center. He has power to all fields, and is patient at the plate. I hope he does well tonight (and tomorrow I'm assuming) and finds a permanent home there.

Good news for us..... A's are the better team. Most experts think Seattle is a year or two away from competing.

De La Rosa has struggled on the road, although his last couple of away outings have been pretty good. Hopefully, we can continue this trend tonight.

Not sure what the Rangers are going to do. Ross has struggled, no doubt. But I kind of get the feeling the FO doesn't want to give up on him starting just yet. Just a guy feeling, so put me in the Wash category on this one.

I'm hoping this is the time for Colby to start showing some progress. Although he's still only thrown 21 innings, and it still might take him another 3/4 starts to get his stride down.

This month is going to be interesting to say the least, from a pitching standpoint. The jury is out on how Harry, Colby will progress, can Yu be the man day-in-out, what happens with Ogando/Tanner and the BP overall.

We need Lewis/Harrison going deep into the games and I just don't see that yet. Really don't see Lewis going into the 7th, 8th inning this year. We really need our offense to start hitting to help these guys out.

MM might have earned himself the starting pitching role in the next NL game we have.

He did pitch in short relief a little while at Miss St. Did fine, but was a OF primarily, with some time at 1st & DH.

I want to ask, who do U think has the most trade value between Mitch, Leonys & Choice; also, do the Rangers FO plan to look for a ''true DH'', had they planned to have a DH by committee or am I just missing something(this is the American League, darn it!).
