I am really nervous about giving the ball to Holland today. Unless he has his absolute best changeup working he is going to get hammered. I'm not a big fan of Colby either in a game like this with the way he leaves so many fastballs up in the zone, but in big playoff games Colby has been good at keeping things down.

Really rolling the dice today with Holland. I'm sure Colby, and even Gallardo, will be in the bullpen.

My goodness do we need Beltre back.
I am more worried about our offense than I am Holland. We need Beltre in the worst way, but even he couldn't help much if everyone else is cold. The offense was my biggest concern heading into the postseason and if we get beat I think it will mainly be due to the offense failing us. I sure hope JD is motivated to improve this offense in the offseason.

So Leonys has refused to report to the Arizona instructional league. Apparently he is upset that he was left off the ALDS roster.

I'd hand him his walking papers right now.

We hope. Hope he's not completely decrepit out there.
Probably the best thing we could have done would be to put him in Prince's place and sit Prince, but unfortunately that will not happen.

Now watch Prince hit two HRs today.

Especially after the way he hit this year. Like you have said before, million dollar contract 10 cent head. He is in the last year of his contract and he pulls this crap. Hope he never wears a Ranger uniform again.

I hope he can help us. We'll see.

I think just his presence will be a shot in the arm to the rest of the lineup and team. That's just what Beltre does and what he means to this thing. And I think if he's in the lineup he will help us in some way or form.

I wonder if we have an advantage today because of the heat?

Blue Jays-Rangers ALDS Game 4 lineups: Beltre talks his way in
By Dayn Perry | Baseball Writer

Game 4 of the ALDS between the Blue Jays and Rangers goes down in Arlington on Monday (TOR-TEX preview/GameTracker), with first pitch scheduled for 4:07 pm ET. Derek Holland will oppose R.A. Dickey, as the visiting Blue Jays try to force a deciding Game 5 back in Toronto. Here are Monday's lineups ...

Visiting Blue Jays

1. Ben Revere, LF
2. Josh Donaldson, 3B
3. Jose Bautista, RF
4. Edwin Encarnacion, DH
5. Chris Colabello, 1B
6. Troy Tulowitzki, SS
7. Russell Martin, C
8. Kevin Pillar, CF
9. Ryan Goins, 2B
SP - R.A. Dickey

Only change from Game 3 for the Jays is that Martin returns behind the plate.

Home Rangers

1. Delino DeShields, CF
2. Shin-Soo Choo, RF
3. Adrian Beltre, 3B
4. Prince Fielder, DH
5. Mitch Moreland, 1B
6. Elvis Andrus, SS
7. Josh Hamilton, LF
8. Robinson Chirinos, C
9. Rougned Odor, 2B
SP - Derek Holland

Linchpin third baseman Adrian Beltre wasn't in manager Jeff Banister's original lineup, as he's been sidelined since suffering a lower back injury in Game 1. But then Mr. Beltre went to his powers of persuasion ...

Given the lengths he went to in an attempt to stay in the game in the series opener, this shouldn't be too surprising. The man is a ballplayer.

Boy, I hope he doesn't hurt himself worse today. If it's just a matter of dealing with the pain, fine. I know he can handle that. But what a hollow victory today would be if we won, but lost him for the rest of the playoffs.

Exactly what my concern was earlier today. Still is honestly.

But hey, Beltre at 70% is a step up from a 100% Alberto. And what the hell is that guy doing on our 25 man roster to begin with?
