I can say I'm really glad we got Diekman as a "throw in" on the Hamels trade. I remember hearing Phillies fans and media saying how much garbage he was, but he's been lights out in the ALDS
Diekman will fly to the top of my all time favorite Rangers relief pitchers if he cracks a couple of Donaldson's ribs with one of those 99 mph fastballs

You don't have to wonder why that pussy is always chirping while he's behind the rail of the dugout or on the bench in the dugout. He is a straight up punk bitch. He won't talk that noise to anyone, unless he has a buffer
Kela was coming forward until he was stopped by the catcher and home plate umpire. Donaldson was stopped by what must have been hurricane winds, because there was nothing else stopping him. He was able to inch forward once Roidtista was standing beside him

I think the Rangers have done a good job of, so far, keeping the bases relatively empty when their power guys come to the plate. It makes them much less threatening. Donaldson got his home run, but it was only a solo.

Pretty much. They're going to hit some home runs. We just can't let them be three run homers.

Adrian Beltre excused from Rangers' workout, remains day-to-day
By Mike Axisa | Baseball Writer

October 10, 2015 1:08 pm ET

The Rangers suffered a significant blow early in Game 1 of the ALDS on Thursday when third baseman Adrian Beltre had to leave the game with a back strain. He initially hurt himself sliding into second base. Beltre stayed in the game for another inning and hit an RBI single, but could barely get to first base.

Here is video of Beltre struggling to get down the line:

Boy, that's rough. Beltre is one of the toughest players in baseball, so he must have been in a ton of pain to come out of a postseason game. Beltre reportedly received a cortisone shot during the game, but it didn't help enough. He had to leave Game 1 and did not play in Game 2.

Saturday is an off-day for the ALDS, and the Rangers are holding a workout at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Beltre is not with the team and is instead resting, as everyone hopes he'll be ready to go for Game 3.

Utility infielder Hanser Alberto has replaced Beltre at third base. Alberto had the go-ahead RBI single in the 14th inning of Game 2, though he's also made several poor defensive plays, plays we've seen Beltre make countless times over the years.

The Rangers can replace Beltre on their ALDS roster; however, that would make him ineligible for the ALCS roster. He could return in the World Series, should they advance that far. The team believes Beltre will be able to play again this series.

Even without Beltre, the Rangers were able to win both Game 1 and Game 2 in Rogers Centre. They lead the best-of-five series two games to none. Game 3 will be played Sunday. Martin Perez and Marco Estrada is the pitching matchup.

Qualifying offer set at $15.8 million; which free agents will get one?

As reported by CBS Sports MLB Insider Jon Heyman, the qualifying offer for the 2015-16 offseason has been set at approximately $15.8 million. The exact number down to the penny will be finalized within a week or so. The qualifying offer is set at the average of the top 125 salaries in baseball.

The qualifying offer is a one-year contract worth that $15.8 million. If the team makes a free agent the qualifying offer and he rejects it, then they're entitled to draft pick compensation if he signs elsewhere. The system has been in place for several years now and we've yet to see a free agent accept the qualifying offer.

Teams have until five days following the end of the World Series to make the qualifying offer. Players then have seven days to accept or reject it. The qualifying offer must be made to receive draft pick compensation.

Hopefully he'll turn it around in Arlington tomorrow. I'll forget all my hate for him if he goes 4-4 with 5 RBI's

He'll piss you off and then do something magical. Just gotta take the good with the bad. We're due some good.

Hamilton will make some noise when everyone least expects it. They are going to forget about him, then BOOM.

I'm just loving Odor though. He's becoming a pest for other teams. He's kind of like how Kyle Seager is against us. Hopefully he becomes a problem mentally for the Blue Jays. I think he is going to pressure them into pitching differently to the entire lineup. Odor is definitely going to provide protection for whoever hits before him. The Blue Jays want nothing to do with him right now.

There is no place in baseball for the slide Utley made vs the Mets. I really hope baseball takes that shit out. Player safety is more important than "playing the right way." You don't get to slide at a guy's knees when you are passed the bag just because it's "Baseball!!"

That one really got my worked up. There is no reason to slide at a player because you are "trying to break up the play"...I don't even get why that exists anyway. No other place on the field are you allowed to slide at a guy who is making a throw. So why the hell did they ever allow it at second base? It's an archaic thing that needs to be removed from the sport. A middle infielder shouldn't have to take his career in his hands trying to throw the ball. Baseball has enough inherent risk without that unnecessary action.

And anyone can spare me players are too soft these days...know what we know it's foolish to do that sorta stuff.
