Our offensive line has been pretty inconsistent and we have depth issues as well. Would be nice to get some closure, if not resolution on the frozen five. I'd also like to see a little better consistency from our receivers. They're a deep and talented group, but too many drops. I'll withhold judgment on turnovers, we'll find out in the coming weeks if the Syracuse game was an aberration or a trend. As light as the schedule has been, this team has exceeded my expectations so far. Real test starts this week.

- OL is inconsistent.


- 'Suspended' players - been going on for weeks ... somebody make a fookin decision. Some key players involved.


- Turnovers??? Wasn't a concern until the 'Cuse game. Hopefully just a 'bad night' with hiccups.


- HC abandoning running game to get all pass-happy for no bloody reason. Play-calling highly suspect on many occasions.


- Freakin Mamba coming to our board and jinxin' our damn QB. Stay off our board with your bad mojo Mamba.

They can only get better, but definitely our biggest weakness.

Coming in to the year I was concerned about Iowas defense and how they would play. I really didnt think about the offense as they returned so much and were solid last year, figured they could only be better. LOL, man was I turned around.

We’re certainly not the offensive engine that we anticipated with the return of Petrino - especially with lettermen all over the field. Senior O line w/ a stable of backs ? C'mon Man !

I looks like simple execution to me - just not firing on all cylinders w/ young QB getting his wheels underneath him. Make that two young QBs !

And don't get me started on penalties and stupid ass mistakes, which we better get a handle on before this Friday's game at Syracuse.

Hey I can narrow it down to just 3 things:

1. Offense
2. Defense
3. Special Teams

Inexperienced O-line is resulting in too many false start penalties (4 in the last game) and holding calls.


Inexperienced DB's resulting in too many defensive holding penalties (4 in the last game).


Offense taking too long to get rolling in the last 2 games.
