U of M hasn't fired HC Hoke yet. It's time to move on already. Interim HC should be DC Mattison and not OC Nussmeier. There's still some salvageable season left to build upon for next years permanent HC.

Where do I start? Defense? Penalties? O-line?

How bout the defense. A defense that has been ranked top 20 season end a few times of late, is current ranked 48 in scoring defense and 98 in total defense. This defense has been very vanilla in making the big gamble plays that Aliotti's defenses survived off of. 3 man rush vs WSU nearly was enough for the Cougs to beat the Ducks. Oregon has beat 3 of its opponents convincingly on the scoreboard. 1 being a good team , but everyone has put up yards vs. Oregon.

To say defense is a concern is an understatement. My hope is. Pellum's crew are late bloomers. I want to see the defense that played MSU in the 2nd half Thursday Night.

O-line. A preseason top 5 unit is in shambles. Current tackles are the # 4 and 5 on depth chart. A walk on and true freshman.

They have leadership at center and veterans at guards. My hope is they gel just enough to keep winning until the preseason All PAC 12 tackles return.

Penalties. WTF! 87th in the country. This didn't happen under Chip. It is something this coaching staff has been addressing this past bye week.

Playoff team? Big 6 bowl team? Right now, they would need a lot of luck to get either.

Hoping for a great performance Thursday night to ease my mind.

After Week 1 I was concerned that Houston didn't have an offensive lineman who could block anyone. Since then I've learned that they can in fact effectively block players on Grambling and UNLV. Curious to see how they fare against UCF defenders Thursday night.

Consistent QB play. No experienced #2 QB. Lack of WR dept.

LB play especially against the run. This should be corrected since FSU got back Ukeme Eligwe from his injury today.

DL depth. Think we lost another one due to a leg whip in the 4th quarter. Derrick Mitchell was not at practice today. At least they got Mario Edwards back today.

Defensive play calling. Too much soft zone.


Offense looks much better with a #2 receiver that is trusted. Running got going which is good and the OL actually looked good minus a couple plays.

Offense, defense, special teams...although, we DID find a kid that could put kickoffs in the end zone last saturday. If he had been kicking off in the Vandy game, that would have been a blowout.

O-Line still in shambles (true-frosh LT is decent and still learning) regarding play vs power 5 conf. I'm pretty confident were bottom 5 in all of NCAA for - yardage plays over last 17 games. O-Line coach Funk hasn't been able to develop these 7-8 players who were 4-5 star recruits.


QB Hasn't developed 1 bit since taking over for Dennard Robinson last 5 games of 2012 season.
Back-up QB doesn't have a clue and neither knows a check-down. Line really hasn't given them time to go through progressions. This was suppose to be a pro-style system and neither QB fits that style.


CB's are a shell of themselves from 2 years ago. They've regressed and true frosh Pepper's is mostly sitting due to injuries.
