Quick call I'd have to say Peter Warrick...

Trying to think of a guy that had a ton of hype that did nothing... That's probably at the top of our list...

Weinke disappointed.

Marvin Jones was disappointing, but I believe that was mostly injury related.

Warrick had a few productive years. What about Jamal Reynolds?

I think we can make a pretty good list from all of the players who's careers were ruined by the Detroit Lions.

I love the Lion's but you can be an amazing player and have your career ruined by the Detroit Lions (examples: Barry Sanders and Megatron).

There is no reason that Sweed shouldn't have been a monster in CFB and in the NFL... but he don't.

The story of Sweed still breaks my heart..when we got that dude in the 2nd round of the '08 draft, I was ELATED, I couldn't believe our luck. Some luck that turned out to be, yeeeesh. . .

Florida State is putting together a good list of QB busts, EJ Manuel, Ponder, we'll see what Winston does.

Ponder may be a bust in the NFL, but he sure won in another arena of life.

Most recent Buckeye flop I can think of off the top of my head was Bobby Carpenter. Dallas took him in the 1st round, haha.

Lets not forget Mr balloon muscles Vernon Gholston. Dude looked like something out of a marvel comic, but played like piglet. Lol, the Jets took him with the 6th pick of the '08 draft, ouch

I didn't want to start an NFL thread on the CFB forum, but the cherry on the 2015 football season gets popped in about 5 minutes. :yahoo:

I know it's just pre-season, but any rookies or 2nd year players I should be watching for tonight.

Due to my CFB intake, I don't watch much NFL at all.

Nice to see two former Huskers inducted into the HOF.

Will Shields (OL) (Chiefs) and Mick Tinglehoff (C) (Vikings)

I had never heard of Tinglehoff, but after researching his career, what the hell took so long? I guess the O linemen are truly the unsung heroes of the NFL.

Warrick had a few productive years. What about Jamal Reynolds?

As a Bengals fan, 'productive' is definitely a stretch. For sure not worth the hype considering how good he was in college and how it just flat out didn't translate to the pros

For VT, I'd agree with CB, Jimmy Williams. 37th overall pick and released in his 2nd season bc dude couldn't put down the weed

As a Husker he was before my time. As a Viking I only knew him because of my dad talking about him on occasion. We were never Minnesota fans so Tinglehoff was the only Viking my dad liked. LOL

I forgot about Art Schlichter. Between him and Clarett, talk two guys who had the world by the balls and just pissed it away.
Yeah but they couldn't be different as to how they reacted after hitting rock bottom. Schlichter just keeps fucking up over and over while Clarett is actually doing really well for himself now. He's big on the personal fitness scene and travels around also doing talks with kids and stuff. I went to a memorabilia show last year in Cleveland with probably 30-35 guys there from all walks of sports life. He and Earle Bruce were the nicest guys there by far. He couldn't have been happier to talk to people and give out autographs.

Landry Jones (Steelers)

Teddy Bridgewater (Vikings)
How is Teddy a bust at this point ? He's an NFL starter. And what's L Jones suppose to do - knock Big Ben out of a starting spot ?
