He could easily be on that list along with Rozier, Gill, Fryar, Steinkhuler and a shit ton of others.

Michigan State Offense
Kirk Cousins
Drew Stanton
LeVeon Bell (Hurdling guys)
TJ Duckett (Extra Second TD against Michigan back in 2001)
Kirk Gibson (thrown out of his last game for fighting with a ref after setting the all time receiving yards record)

Michigan State Defense
Bubba Smith (Hightower and Spare Tire)
William Gholston
Darqueze Dennard
Jerel Worthy
Greg Jones.

There are some slim pickings for Michigan State players.

I'm just taking mine back to the '99 season as that was my senior year in HS, got into VT and really started becoming a fan

Top 5's in no particular order

Offense:
Michael Vick
Tyrod Taylor
Kevin Jones
Danny Coale
David Wilson
Ryan Williams

(yeah, its 6, get over it)

Defense:
Macho Harris
DeAngelo Hall
Brandon Flowers
Kam Chancellor
Jason Worilds

and there are probably at least 6 or 7 other guys on defense that I liked watching just as much as the ones I listed

I'll just go ahead and add the entire Ruud family as well.

Offense
1. Shaun Alexander- still the best RB to ever play at Alabama in my eyes, loved the way he would bounce outside and truck defenders.

2. Trent Richardson- he's still breaking tackles on Arkansas

3. Julio Jones- I can't remember a receiver that was as freakish as Julio. I remember one play his freshman year vs LSU he drug 4 LSU defenders for almost 10 yds. This guy is a wide receiver by the way.

4. Mark Ingram- never seen a running back in my lifetime run with more determination and heart than this guy.

5. Barrett Jones- one of the most versatile Offensive Lineman in College Football history, and backs it up by starting 3 different positions for 3 different national title teams.

Defense

1. Freddie Roach- play linebacker in the Shula era. Was probably one of the best pass coverage LBs in history. Reason you probably don't remember him? He couldn't catch AIDS from an African prostitute. (NO HANDS)

2. Derrick Thomas- my favorite player from before my age.

3. Mark Barron- yeah, he's a badass and he knows it.

4. Barry Krauss- made one of the biggest defensive plays in history.

5. Donta Hightower- what an appropriate name for a beast ass LB

Special Nominations:

Javier Arenas- my favorite player. What can I say, the guy was born to return kicks and punts. I think he's the best returner to ever play the game.

Tyrone Prothro- THE CATCH. Still haven't seen another catch like it.

I just don't see a valid Bama list not having Cornelius Bennett.

I take Bobby Humphrey over Mark Ingram all day everyday.

A lot of Bammers didn't jump on that wagon until '09 (well, at least that's how it was at Disney), so they probably have no idea who those guys are or are just too young to know who they are.

Born and raised an Alabama fan. Just because I was born in 94 doesn't mean Im late to the party. I know a lot about Alabama and their past players, but Im more familiar with some than others. I was close to adding George Teague and Antonio Langham, as well as Kenny Stabler and Ozzie Newsome, but Im not as familiar with some names than others.

James Street- won NC against Arkansas when I was a little kid, was my alter-ego on the sandlot.
Earl Campbell- Watched the Tyler Rose in the Astrodome, Texas HS Championship, against my neighborhood HS, Reagan, when was in 6th grade. My two best friends' big brothers played for Reagan (and they were mean SOBs) and eventually went to Texas as well. Earl ran all over them in HS Champ game, and they said he was a GROWN MAN. Remember him taking a pitch against Miami on Monday Night football and going for 80 yards down sideline... Went to see his Heisman trophy when he won...he was awesome
Ricky Williams- watched in person with nephew as he ran for 200 something yards over the Aggies to win the Heisman. Priceless.
Vince Young- Michigan Rose Bowl, USC Rose Bowl NC game. Went to a road game in Kansas, when stadium was rocking because Kansas was gonna win...VY on 4th and 18 went for 22. Then he threw a beautiful out route pass for a Touchdown to win the game. GAME OVER HAHA. I then quickly went to my rental car parked by the basketball stadium and vamoosed.
Major Applewhite- was there when he disobeyed Mack's orders and went for the TD, then threw the ball into the stands. Awesome. Also, his 475 yards and 3 TDs to a comeback win over Washington in his last game, after being benched all year for Chris Simms...

Have done defense twice, both attempts lost because 'timed out' with SportsHoopla. Wish it would last longer than 2-3 minutes before times out. Will try one more time:

Steve McMichael- nicknamed BamBam. DT, AA, crazy as a loon. As a Chicago Bear, would appear on TV always with his Chihuahua.

Casey Hampton- DT, as freshman against Nebraska, watched him get doubleteamed, driven back 5 yards then perform perfect textbook counter: throw elbow/shoulder into the ground, OL go over the top, roll out and run to the sideline and make the tackle. Knew then he'd be special. Was AA, all pro for Steelers.

Nathan Vasher- DB, hitter, cover man, and punt returner. Destroyed TT receiver on fake punt pass thrown by punter. Could hear hit, stadium went quiet as the guy was out. He eventually wobbled off. Hate Leach as he always did that shit. As a pro, he returned a short FG 100 yards for TD similar to Auburn guy this year against Bama

Aaron Humphrey- smallish pass rush DE, one game pile drove TT freshman QB over and over, many sacks. That QB kept getting up. Was Kliff Kingsbury

Stonie Clark- DT , saved RRSO by stopping OU RB at goal line to preserve win.

Honorable mention:

Jamaal Charles- RB, saw him run for 200 yards in the fourth quarter alone, against Nebraska. We were behind whole game. I told young guy next to me, 'we need Jamaal to take this one to the house'. The guy said if JC did, he'd take his clothes off and streak onto the field. So, JC takes handoff,
runs to the sideline, turns 90 degrees and is gone, 80 yards down the sideline for a TD.

My wife at the time, says to the young guy, "okay kid, get those clothes off and take off'.

We won the game. The guy didn't streak, because he said he didn't want to get thrown out now, as we were making a comeback. What a puss.
