Coyotes, a point out of the lead in the West - Cullen has them ranked 21st in his model, unchanged from a week ago.

actually I have no problem at all with these rankings they are the best yet. Coyotes have 5 OTL... that makes them a .500 team in my book. they again have the most in the NHL proving their record is more inflated from a loser point than from an actual balance of power.

in terms of power rankings though.... they have 7 wins in a row (only one of those went to extra time), and they didn't move from #21?

I understand that its a weekly rating however they lost 5 of 7 before that. I kinda look at these with a different view in how they balance during the season. why bump them up to top 5 for being almost .500 in the last 14. but again I understand its weekly. I just dont believe in jumping a team that high nor the canucks that low in a week. i believe the overall record at the time of the week still dictates where they sit for me.
