And I thinks it up to the matchup. Both players have good speed, Wellwood a bit more touch while Rinaldo hits everything. I could see Couts sitting out as well. ROtate them all and keep them hungry

i agree w/ d's lines.. and wellwood/rinaldo rotating depending on the opponent.. though, in the east, i'm not sure there's a team i'd play wellwood over rinaldo against.. even though i love wellwood

i do think las has a point though, i dont think JvR will get a free pass.. the team is clicking pretty good right now.. if jvr gets healthy, i could see lavy having him as a healthy scratch for a few games, cause lets be honest, someone else will get hurt

If JVR can come back and help us win a cup i'm all for it i wouldnt care if the North Korean leader came to help us win a cup im cool with that but i just dont see how JVR is going to help us. Since he went down our team has played it's best hockey of the year and we could always put him in if needed.

PS i have a JVR poster on my office wall i guess you could consider it a crush. LOL

i strongly disagree.. jvr was an animal 1on1.. G had nothing to do with his success.. as evident by jvr not being able to hack it in hartnell's role to start the season.

completely different roles.. nobody can do what rinaldo does.. simmonds and hartnell are too important offensively to do it

that being said.. occasionally that role is not needed in the playoffs.. but having an agitator out there is helpful.. IMO

I think I may have misunderstood this, but are you saying that G doesnt have anything to do with JVR's success last year because JVR didnt make Hartnell good at the start this year?

As deep as we are on offense I just feel like the more depth the better. Sure Rinaldo has a nice role, but I dont think it will be needed as much as the potential extra few points Wellwood chips in
