Tate would be a good fit, but I wouldnt want to spend our cap space on a running back. I'd love to spend it on Alex Mack

Are they going to have the money?

WOuld it be better spent elsewhere?

Considering that RB's are not hard to find, and are replaced easily...I would rather find a big power RB in the draft, and have him team with Gio.

Other needs on the team are going to suck up that $$$, IMO. Mainly AJ this year, Burfict next year, and if anyone wants to keep Collins, they are also going to have to pay up. Also still going to need to plug holes in the secondary. Newman isn't getting any younger, Hall won't be back until mid-season (that is my guess, anyway) and you can't yet rely on Ghee to remain healthy. Same can be said for Kirkpatrick, though we are about to get an extensive look at him over the next few weeks.

Don't think Houston will let Tate go now, what with Arian Foster's injury situation. Even if they would, running back is the last position we need to go off on now, what with all the defensive players that are going to get paid in the next couple of years. They also need to resign Collins.

Sign Green make Dalton play his shit out! try to sign MJ but he hasnt played LIGHTS OUT all season...And he can go to a new team if he wants to I bet he wont be what he is here.....Sign Collins but Collins shouldnt break the bank.... I would go after Mack if we could get him..Upgrade all day over Cook...Burfict is about 35 million TOPS...In the Ellerbe range with Miami..... Gresham???? IDK could Orson do what Gresham does with 1 more year??? We will see....

Dalton will get a raise here, but it won't be for top 5 QB money. I'm not worried about his salary.

Green is going to the Bank, and you can count on that, no doubt.

Johnson is going to be gone. I would love to re-sign him, but he's going to command too much, and DL is where there is a lot of depth.

Collins is going to get paid. PAID. His agent is going to show the list of elite pass-rushers he's shut down, and someone is going to shell out for him. I wonder if the Bengals might consider using the Franchise tag on him for 1 year to see if they can find/draft another OL early, while keeping Whit at guard and prolonging his career.

Gresham...eh...I'd offer him some money, but I'm not breaking the bank on him when we have Eiffert. Sign a capable backup TE to be #2 TE and move on with it. Orson has been moved to FB...so, he's already lost another year of experience at TE, but he's got play making ability once the ball is in his hands.

With all that being said...I'm not of mind to pay any RB big money. That is the one position that just drops off dramatically. Look at Rice. All-pro to Nothing at all. He looks rigid and old just a year removed from having a very solid season. With Gio in at RB, I would look to sign/draft a power RB to compliment him.

Remember we have to spend up to 95% of the Cap after this season I believe... We rolled over 10 million for Green and Dalton..I still would pay Dalton after year 4....If he tried to walk franchise his ass....use the money on Green, Collins, MJ and possibly Gresham..

He's not worth the price tag of a Franchise...That's a lot of money for a middling QB.

Draft Carlos Hyde in rd 2 to team with Gio in the backfield and get 500 touches between the two of them.

By the time they lock up Burfict, he is going to get over 60 million, especially if he continues at the pace he is on.

AJ Green is going to get well over 75 million.

Dalton will be in the 60 million range I think.

Collins maybe in the 30 million range for a shorter contract.

We are going to have to lose guys like Hall, Newman, Gresham, Andre Smith in two years once his contract is up, maybe Whitworth in a couple years. Gio is going to get paid in 3 years.

Do you not look at current NFL contracts? I linebacker in the NFL has a contract worth over 50 mil. I want to say 1 linebacker make more than 10 mil a year. Just what kind of contract do you think Burfict is going to get to make him the highest paid linebacker in the league. If he wants that, he isn't worth it.

Also Green-Ellis isn't a FA until 2015, how are we going to let him walk?

I agree with this.

If Gio stays healthy he's going to be a dynamic playmaker for the next 5 season. They just need a dime a dozen running back to share some of the carries, pick up some tough yds, etc

Some team is most likely going to pay Tate a high salary to be their feature back. That's not a priority on this roster

first he has to play for the colts as a backup, then the UFL, after that he must fade into obscurity.

We just need to keep re-stocking in the draft. But Burfict and Green are must have's for this team.
