Last night was awful IMO, unless you are a Seattle fan, it was boring. Was it the worst Super Bowl ever? If not, which Super Bowl was the worst ever? There are a few to choose from, unless you are a Cowboy fans Super Bowl Xll was pretty bad with all the turnovers. Super Bowl XVlll was pretty bad unless you were a Raiders fan. Super Bowl XX was horrible even though it had one of the greatest defenses of all times, but the score was all one sided. Super Bowl XXIV was nothing more than the worst blow out in Super Bowl history. Any way you get the picture, what was the worst Super Bowl ever? At least of your time.

This was probably the worst for me because most expected such a good game and it was never even interesting.

I'm going to agree with you. All the hype surrounding Peyton Manning and the greatest offense ever, then they laid the biggest goose egg ever IMO. I saw a stat that was very interesting last night. The top 8 offenses in Super Bowl history are 0 and 8 in the Super Bowl. Defenses win Championships and this proves it.

I wanted Denver to win but I didn't bet it because I saw Seattles defense taking away the receivers.

I agree that unless you were a SEA fan it was pretty bad. I do have to admit that once I had accepted that SEA was going to win, it was fun to watch such a dominant defense though. I can't ever remember seeing a defense that is THAT good.

Yeah I wanted Denver to win as well, because I would have liked to seen Manning get one more ring before he retires. Although he is 11 and 12 all time in the post season, and 1 and 2 in Super Bowls, I still think he is one of the best ever at the QB position. Also we had a home town boy on the Denver team, and was rooting for him a ring.

Yeah the defense was dominant, but so where those 85 Bears and 2000 Ravens. I'm still leaning 85 Bears as the best ever though.

I'll go Steel Curtain as the best ever, but the '85 Bears are definitely in the discussion.

Tough argument. Ravens are on the short list too. I'd give the nod to the curtain because it was Dominant over multiple years, but for a single season. That may be 1985.

Yeah the Steel Curtain was very good, but they didn't really Dominate like the Bears did IMO. I guess to be honest though, they did do it a lot longer than the Bears did, but the Steelers never really blew anyone out in the Super Bowls. I guess you could argue that they had to face better competition in those Super Bowls, I know Dallas wasn't exactly a pushover in the 70's.

I agree, the Steel Curtain was awesome for several years, but no one was more dominate for a single season than the 85 Bears IMO, but that's just my opinion.

Why can't you guys appreciate the MAGNITUDE of the Seahawks defensive performance we SHUT OUT the highest scoring offense EVER in the first half and held them to just 8 points for the GAME. Isn't that AMAZING?!

Not taking anything away from Seattle, they played lights out on defense. I still do not think they were the best ever. They may be in the top 5 or 6, but not best ever IMO.

????? Read the thread. We are crediting Seattles defense. That game was amazing to Seattle fans, no one else.
problem with the playoffs and especially the SB is once a team gets down double digits they start to press too much. I thought Seattle would win and if these two teams played ten times Seattle would win the majority of the games. But there is no denying Denver was tense even before kickoff. The first snap showed that. Do you really believe Seattle is 30 points better than Denver?

1992 Cowboys defense

1996 Packers defense

and any of the 80s San Fran defenses

2000 Ravens

and thats without going old school

Seen defenses this good before .... and this young before .....
Just very few ..... and far between..... Cause teams wanna throw up fantasy points ( which puts bandwagon fans in the stands) Worst thing that ever happened to football was the Rams and the greatest show on turf

Unlike the World Series, the NBA Playoffs and the Stanley Cup Playoffs the so-called Super Bowl never lives up to
the publicity it gets.

Why anyone prefers the NFL to MLB, the NBA or the NHL I simply do not know.

The donkeys showed no urgency last night and the got stompped by the better team. The bad snap to start the game reminded me of Gurode. Was not expecting to see this type of game. There have been plenty of games like this in the history of tthe superbowl. Have some patience as the salary cap will quickly erode the Seahawks roster just as it did to the 90s cowboys.

Sometimes I wonder if you even watch football

plenty of games like this?

In my life time the only worse Superbowl was San Fran vs San Diego ......

( I could say the Boyz vs the Bills...... but we won so I loved it)

Last night was the saddest day in football memories for me

Hell the national anthem sucked.... Half time sucked the commercials sucked .......

Worst Superbowl I've watched in my life
