Probably Janis Joplin's version of Me and Bobby McGee. Joplin always sounded like she was trying to hack up a wad of cum, and IMO songs that are written as country songs should always remain country songs. Kris Kristofferson>Roger Miller>>>>>>>>>>>>>Janis Joplin

But seriously, no Hendrix? I refuse to believe someone can list SRV and Clapton on their short list of listenable rock music, but not the Jimster. (Though, I'd agree SRV did Hendrix better than Hendrix)
