PEDs that deflate.............now there's a problem, but everyone wants to just sweep it under the rug and pretend like it's not there.............

I think the PED use is a personal gain your trying to achieve... Bigger, faster, stronger type thing... knowingly deflating football's can affect the entire offense, in the sense of less fumbles for your running backs, receivers catching the ball easier and also less fumbling ... QB has a better grip and if sacked is less likely to fumble... BUT that being said I don't think a deflated football helped Tom with his accuracy ... He's accurate regardless... It is possible he thought of doing this because of all the dropped ball's in big games .. I can imagine that was ticking him off...

Both are bad and attempts to gain an unfair advantage. It doesn't matter which is worse, all of it needs to stop. The penalties for these sort of things aren't really bad enough if you ask me, so I don't expect it to stop. Teams don't care about fines, they care about W's and L's... start taking those away and I bet you will start to see some improvement.

Of course draft picks are pretty big too, I am surprised that this sort of punishment wasn't more effective in the case of the Pats.

Deflategate was real folks, I am not sure how there really are questions in anyones mind about that - sorry think I read that on someones post when I scanned this thread.

It's Deflate-gate, for 2 reasons.
1. PED use is all over the place and I'm certain every team has players using. Thus not a big advantage for any one team.
2. Deflating a football has many advantages. From being able to catch it and from being able to hold onto it tighter and reduce fumbles.

I agree Merriman once off juice was a shell, Bonds, Canseco etc same thing. Try throwing a ball with less air and its worse, except for running backs.

Check Bonds' stats prior to '98. His MVP trophies, Golden Gloves, and All Star appearances disagree with your assessment. Now if you want to say that Father Time beat him, sure. But he was still mashing a bit until the day he retired.

Merriman and Canseco I agree with however.
