I am trying my best....I have ignored countless slams....and the vulgar names.....and the insults about my manhood.

Looking at Ronnies favorite teams, 1 term comes to mind. And, if I am right, he will know about it, and, likely say I am right.

Snow bird.

There is a snowbird in that family tree, I just know it.

Thanks I will look into that.

I feel like I am selling a bit low on Stanton. He isn't going to hit .202 on the road again this year, but he needs to stay healthy.

It is still early in the offseason but something I need to consider.

I could definitely understand the reluctance to deal Stanton. Before last season, I traded Stanton for Evan Longoria. Longo had a disappointing season considering he was healthy, but it still was a good trade for me to get a top 3 to 5 3B.

Despite the improving roster, Stanton will continue to get pitched around and in frustration he will expand his strike zone. He may hit 30+ hr's next season, but it could come with a .250 avg and .800 OPS.

two more years for boggs, being conservative, 30 more homers, 360 more hits, keep his average the same

i still think boggs was a better hitter but it can be argued gwynn was

see hammer? not so hard

Gwynn had many more steals. The path between 1st and 2nd must have been littered with M&M's.

They are some very serious stat heads and fantasy players. Got seriously handed my lunch playing with these guys in a fantasy baseball league for the first time in, well, ever.

Hey Worrld, I'm thinking about lunch. It'd be fitting if I destroyed a chinese buffet in your honor today, don't you think?

Worrld is off somewhere furiously searching the net for stats to prove that Trot Nixon would have been a better hitter than Tony "if he had come up earlier." :pound:

Brock, those two extra seasons resulted in one, COUNT IT, ONE!!! extra AB.

"Yep, that proves it! Boggs owned Tony." - Worrld

He played the extra 2 years because he developed quicker.

There should be no "if boggs gets called up earlier" Because it didn't happen. Gywnn deserves the credit for being MLB caliber faster than Boggs.
