random speculation but is it coincidence that 9 players on the 2018 team have changed organizations (through waivers, trades and qualifying offers being declined) in the past 18 months ? and that 1 of those 9 has come out publicly and said he wasnt involved ?

I saw something yesterday that the lawyer for seven players had identified those players to Hockey Canada back during the first complaint.
So at least one person who said "we didn't know anything" at the organization is full of shit.

Paul Capizzano is Conor Timmins' agent. Conor Timmins released a statement through his agent that denied participation.

Paul Capizzano's client list includes one other 2018 team member who meets the criteria above and hasn't put out a statement yet which, if they were getting this part out of the way, probably would've happened already.

That player also has a current NHL teammate who was on the 2018 team, meets the criteria and hasn't put out a statement.

I keep seeing this and I get it looks terrible given what's going on but is this out of the ordinary for such a large organization?

Kinda depends on the stinginess and how risk averse an org is. Last company I worked for was constantly scared of being sued, but still would only pre-emptively set aside defense resources if they really suspected they'd get slapped hard in court.
