Abeltshauser has signed a 3 year ELC. He will report to Worcester when his team is eliminated from the CHL PO's.
Cmon, you have any info on these guys for us?
Gourde is lightning quick with both speed and agility. He sees the ice very well and has a good shot but is a pass first player. Respectable defensively as well. He's listed at something like 5'8 and 165lbs though he's probably closer to 5'10 and 180lbs but he plays bigger than he is. Best comparison I could make is David Desharnias with Montreal.
Abeltshauser is a big, mobile, shutdown dman who is good at moving the puck and doesn't shy away from physical play. He also has a cannon of a shot. Won his teams skill competition clocked at 103+ mph. I'd like to see him get that shot off quicker though. His defensive positioning and play reading were the knock on him his draft year but he has made huge improvements in both those areas especially this year. He also had some skating issues that have been fixed.
