Yeah, I read that last night - Several players donning the Biosteel head gear as well for interviews (seen Stamkos)

was a big pr session ... jerseys were worn too

Getting their name on all those water bottles, however, probably isn’t in the cards just yet.

“Gatorade’s got a league-wide deal and a lot more money than me,” Nichol said. “They’re pretty smart. But I think you could probably drink a vodka soda out of the Gatorade bottle as long as it’s in the right bottle.”

So Coke (Gatorade) gets the free advertising without providing free product???

MAYBE 10% of the people watching the games know what the fuck biosteel is.

I'm sure that Gatorade is sooo broken up over this...

:L

well if they keep holding these hockey camps (ahem infomercials) with NHL young stars decked out in their logo Im sure this number will climb ... and if other sports athletes are catching on to this product ... well

by no means am i saying they will overtake Gatorade/Powerade ... but you have to think this small pest will be noticed

But Coke still gets to keep their name all over everything without having to pony up product....

Coke still gets all of the advertising.

EAS tried to do it untie NFL, gained their niche (good products, BTW) and stepped back out. Coke loses nothing...

Pepsi then...

Gatorade is one of the most brilliant advertising ploys out there. They are geniuses.

Take G2 for example. They cut actual gatorade with 2/3 water, re-brand it and sell it to you for the same price. If you have ever been in a locker room, you know that Gatorade has been cut with water for years because it is too sweet and concentrated and can actually CAUSE cramping.

The company, literally, sells you 1/3 of the product forthe same price, call it "low calorie" and people buy it by the case.

Fucking brilliant...

Free as in the sense they get the advertising without actually providing product.....

nothing free here ... theyre paying for the product placement in the form of being "the official energy drink of the NHL". I guess it keeps up appearances initiallu but like I said eventually the hockey fan is gonna know that those bottles hold a different "juice"

and Id venture a guess that they are providing a free product thats ending up in the shitter (or in the press box ... same thing???)
