Anyone have Jose Cortez' number?

Haha. So I tore my Achilles playing flag football a couple years ago, and this guy came over to help me out as I was sitting on the sidelines. We get to talking, he's like, "My name's Jose. I used to kick for the Dallas Cowboys." He was too short, but for a minute, I was like, "Are you Jose Cortez?" Kind of funny.

Harbaugh needed to cut Akers after the Giants game.

I wouldn't even be nearly as sick as I am had Kaeding not been picked up OR if there were a nice name out there, but there just isn't. At this point, I don't think you can even take the chance, though. I think I'd rather lose in the playoffs with a street guy that doesn't have a nice sounding name right now than with Akers. And no, not saying they will lose in the playoffs because of a kicker but I'm saying that at this point if they lose in the playoffs, I'd rather it be with somebody other than Akers.

My fear is we will lose because of a kicker. Last year muffed punts, this year FGs. I don't get the logic of not bringing someone in. If Akers is hurt why use him? I think the injury is not the reason though. Excuse.

I'm partial to Joe Nedney as he is one of my all-time favorite people in football. He was getting sketchy/scary from long distance at the end of his career and he was having trouble staying healthy week-to-week, but he said since calling it quits that he has stayed in shape and does kick from time to time. I'm not calling it realistic, because it probably isn't anymore, but I REALLY wonder if he could kick for just a couple more weeks on short notice?

With the 49ers inability to score, the kicker becomes even more critical. They've got to be able to count on whoever they go with; be it Akers or someone else.

I've got a bad feeling about this game and his name is Larry Fitzgerald.

Zuerlein just missed a 51-yarder for STL as well.

The Rams doing to the Hawks what we should have done to them last week. That was the Hawks' SB.

Peterson is phenomenal. His comeback from that injury is nothing short of remarkable.

Agreed, he really should be the MVP. The Broncos were already a playoff team without Manning and he did exactly what everyone expected, turned them into the #1 seed.

The Vikings season was over when Peterson went down last year, and this year he put them on his shoulders and literally carried them to the playoffs with his 2000 yard season. (I think he is about 11 yards short with the whole 2nd half left) Assuming too that they go on and beat the Packers to get to the playoffs, I'm pretty sure the refs are going to step up and help GB though.

Fox has atrocious programming sometimes. Who the hell wants to watch C list celebrities fall off a high dive?
