Turner was kind of a disappointment in his rookie year, he could still be good though. Verse was the only rookie edge rusher to make a big impact this season, it will be interesting how the draft class turns out. That is very impressive. Verse being an absolute monster on a rookie deal helps. I wish the Vikings would have taken him instead of Dallas Turner after last night. I'm not giving up on Turner, but he's got to have some serious growth.

Fair enough, I guess I just expected a bit more production than 3 sacks on the season for a 1st round draft choice edge rusher, but I guess my expectations can be too high, plus the Vikings have good edge rushers in Van Ginkel and Greenard so I guess he didn’t get as much playing time given how good they were.I don't think he has been disappointment, his performance was pretty on par with his rookie. He led the most sacks yesterday. I think his play was just overshadowed by the play of Verse and Fiske. The young guys are going to grow and gain more experience together which is scary for opponents.
The Rams have just done a masterful job the last few years drafting.

It doesn't even include Evans, Spreights, and Karty

Yeah the Vikings have a good pass rush, both Van Ginkel and Greenard had double digit sacks this season. If Turner elevates his play next year that will boost the Vikings edge rush even more.Turner barely got on the field the first half of the season. He is a raw prospect and frankly the veteran linebackers were playing so well that he really wasn't needed.
Could end up being the Steelers... the beefed up their OL this last draft and Wilson/Fields isn't gonna be it. Raiders could be another destination. Titans/Giants probably going with the draft. Course it's a weak QB class, who knows.
I doubt anyone is giving up anything significant (picks or contracts) for Darnold at this point though. Also, his season was almost exactly identical to Geno Smith from 2022... Only difference is Geno had a shit defense in 2022, Darnold didn't. Once Smith's run game went away, he's been a low 90s QB.
2022 Geno Smith vs. 2024 Sam Darnold:
Yards: +37 Darnold
TDs: +5 Darnold
INT: +1 Darnold
Attempts: -27 Darnold
Comp %: +3.6% Smith
Sacks Taken: +2 Darnold
Rating: +1.6 Darnold
I mean it's eerily similar. Geno signed a 3 year $75M deal with escalators or $25M per. FT for QB is currently worth $40M per... So could Darnold sign a 3 year $90M deal with escalators (has an advantage because of age)? Sure... Is that worth a 1st rounder? Probably a 2nd and that's because this class sucks ass.
