I wouldn't even be nearly as sick as I am had Kaeding not been picked up OR if there were a nice name out there, but there just isn't. At this point, I don't think you can even take the chance, though. I think I'd rather lose in the playoffs with a street guy that doesn't have a nice sounding name right now than with Akers. And no, not saying they will lose in the playoffs because of a kicker but I'm saying that at this point if they lose in the playoffs, I'd rather it be with somebody other than Akers.

So basically I would cut Akers at half time. His confidence is gone and he can't kick the ball off into the endzone anymore. There has got to be somebody out there who is good enough to miss 13 kicks in a season.

Akers is bad, yes, but that's all the more reason why the 49ers have got to be able to finish off drives. Its killing them.
