Maybe he'll.fall to 10th and we.can get him :)

If i was the gm for the top 5 team that employed you, id fire you lol

I see your point @jstewismybastardson but hear me out.

1) Strength. I understand that the Fins were playing 3 back but there was the middle open so why not " Run the gut" ? Why skate around and wait for an angle?

2) Defensive Awareness. Your own player Ran into you. Cmon man!!!

3) Clutch. If you have a top 5 pick. You want a guy who shows up in the clutch right????

There is tie with 5 minutes left??? He does nothing.

Kakko scores. Step up and do something. Prove your clutch!!!!!

Jack Hughes doesn't show.

Offensively there is a huge upside but these are some concerns that show.

Canada is not the only country to have a hockey summit...

In 2009, the Finnish Ice Hockey Association (FIHA) was so disappointed in its recent results that it called a nationwide hockey summit. There hadn’t been a gold medal at the World Junior Championship since 1998 or the Men’s World Championships since 1995. There had never been a men’s Olympic gold, an Ivan Hlinka gold, or a Women’s gold medal at the Olympics or worlds.

Finland’s NHL talent pool was also drying up. There were no Rantanens, Laines, or Ahos at that time – in fact, of the 1,076 players selected in the five NHL drafts up to and including 2009, only 14 came from Finland’s SM-liiga.

How did that change? How do you transform a small, under-resourced nation of five million people from international afterthought to a world superpower in just 10 years?

To change its course, Finland turned to a man named Erkka Westerlund.

Q&A: The architect of Finland's golden generation explains...

Also, Finland doesn't mind tossing a little salt from time to time...

Finnish stick company Pama just couldn’t help but send a slight jab at the Islanders first-round pick, while also sending a free sample of their top product.

“We at PAMA Hockey feel sorry that your equipment gave up on you at the worst possible moment,” reads Pama’s letter to Dobson. “We know how polite the Canadians are, so we want to give you this Finnish hockey stick, PAMA PHX Carbon as a gift for a great hockey game. We hope the best for your upcoming career!”
