Well, we failed the test unfortunately. Wall 5/17 hurt us and our perimeter defense hurt us. Wittman leaves me scratching my head sometimes wondering if he is the coach this team really needs. Our last opportunity to tie and they pretty much leave open the guy they wanted shooting the last shot.

Well that Dirk fluke 3pt'r and the late tap out rebound were also killers IMO. If Wall hits that shot, we win that game. It was a little early to shoot it, but overall I thought coach did a great job keeping everyone involved.

The team has continued to play well despite the recent WC road trip. Do we go ALL IN and make a play for Kobe (Porter/Seraphin/2 first rounders) or wait until KD becomes a FA?

huh? I wouldn't change too, too much right now with the Wiz. Can't think of his name but they are going to have issues trying to work the injured small forward back in the lineup.
Porter has been a HUGE bust but...he's a great role player at this time. Seraphin is very efficient in limited minutes
R.Butler has been a great pick up.
This is not a championship team yet, but i'd like to see how far they get this year.
unfortunately Atlanta and Toronto have taken a huge step up.

would LOVE to see KD come home ... but not getting my hopes for that too much either.

he played his first game of the season last nite i think ... him and Marcin both rocking the Mr T.

i disagree that Otto has been a disappointment. Guess it depends on your expectations tho.

IMO ... Its nice the Wizards are still able to gets wins & have the option to develop young talent .... & not dependent on him to mature into a superstar year 1.

Last year there was the injury + no minutes behind Ariza & webster. He has shown flashes this season & hope he absorbs all the knowledge from Pierce he can this season.

Butler, Miller, Gortat .. there have been some HUGE additions to this roster over the past 2 years.

About time we start giving a little love to Ernie ?

My point was, with Kobe we can win now. As the roster stands right now, we may or may not make the Eastern Conference Finals. Remains to be seen however, we have failed recent test (WC road trip & Hawks) the team will make some sort of move to get better but it just may not be a major piece.


After getting Webster back, I just don't see how he fits in with this current team. Not much of a SG but more of a swing man. With Pierce here and Porter needing minutes, it just seems Webster is not of much use. The team is obviously meshing and playing well at times but we could use a bonafide SG to back up Beal. (R. Allen) Would also like to see what Blair brings to the table since we traded for him and have yet to give him more than token minutes.

1. Skins2wins, sorry I gotta disagree with Kobe, I could imagine guys standing around watching him play, instead of playing with him. And his knees are bound to give out at any moment.

2. Krusheasy? Otto was a top 5 pick, and has progressed defensively. If we were to trade him away(not saying i'd do it) it doesn't look like we'd miss him. In fact, he looks like he needs 3 more years just to be good as Beal.

So I was at the game last night vs Blazers and these are my observations:


1. Our overall team talent is fairly deep when you start comparing teams. However, last night our bench was out played.


2. Our sub patterns were awful last night. Starters left out for long periods of time which changed momentum of the game.


3. Not sure Whitman is the right guy for this team. Don't think the players fully respect him and some are certainly not pleased with how he doles out minutes. (Actions during time outs, faces made behind his back while he is drawing up plays and some guys just plain didn't have any interest at all during time outs. (Yes, some starters)


4. Jeff Vangundy would be a better fit for this team. There is too much talent with our starting 5 that we should be winning these types of games.


5. I'm certain from his body language that Paul Pierce does not like how unfocused the team is at times and struggles with the fact that he is a seasoned vet playing with some really young guys who don't take the game as serious as he does. I will also say he is NOT on the same page with Whitman on playing time he deserves especially when he is on like he was early last night.


6. Why did Webster get so many minutes last night? Hasn't been that way all season and nor did he deserve the extended minutes the way he played.


7. WTH is Blair? Did not see him dressed with the team last night. Perhaps we could have dressed Gary Payton because he was there.


8. Porter got zero minutes last night and Butler's minutes were slashed. If it is not broke Whitman, don't mess with it.


9. The team however, did come out and play with energy which was nice to see. The defensive lapses were frustrating however which also occurred in the OKC game which cost us.


10. I'm not sold the team (players) themselves are committed to Whitman and I'm not sold that we can advance past the 2nd round again this year with its current coach or roster.
