MLBTR lists the Mariners as the team with the most to gain from acquiring Witt Merrifield.
I'll pass.
He is having a down year and has recently displayed a somewhat undesirable attitude.
Still, this team needs to find a way to keep Frazier, Toro, Torrens, and DeeMo* out of the lineup. So what do they do? Haniger and Lewis will help, if they ever return, but that still leaves a hole at second base. I'm not sure how much defense we surrender by playing France at second, but Servais seems unwilling to do that.

*Love DeeMo's energy and attitude, but he just doesn't hit enough.

I have zero interest in Whit. Maybe last year but we already have the left handed version of Whit. His name is Adam Frazier, both a very similar skillset so it seems just redundant to have both on the roster.
