I feel like some of you guys just enjoy hating on the Redskins. I’m about 99% sure Shark is actually a Ravens fan just trolling you guys because every comment I read by that guy is just hate toward a team he supposedly roots for.

Because you don’t get the context.

He/we can’t stand Bruce Allen and at best question up to don’t believe Daniel Snyder. We see what was given up to get RG3 and expect more of the same this season, which we don’t want. We see how EVERYBODY thinks KC should have been signed long term, except Bruce Allen, and wonder how the dumbest man on the planet holds such a powerful position within the Redskin’s organization. Shark and others have had to put up with continual lunacy from some with regards to KC and how EVERYTHING is his fault, to include global warming.

Maybe Im just tired of watching the team I grew up watching constantly chase elite, spend money on washed up or over rated stars from other teams, while we let our good players go because they just arent flashy enough for the owner or a portion of the fan base. What you see as hate is actually resignation that if the current front office can find a way to screw it up, they will. Maybe Im just hoping that they will stop selling false hope and finally realize that what they have been doing the past 20 years isnt working. And I see them setting up to do it all over again. Yes it will be exciting, and some fans will think this next guy will be the one. But every time this team even looks like it might be building something, they find a reason to go in a more exciting, less competent direction.

But why must you say it repeatedly in almost all of your posts? I don’t mean to single you out I’ve just noticed that over the past few years it’s the only thing you really talk about.

Maybe because every time I say something like.. we have tried the big spending in FA, the sexy rookie pick. Maybe we should try building around the good QB we have, all I hear is... Kirk is Mediocre ( side talk for a bad QB). Maybe because it does irk me just a tad bit that the people who are the harshest critics of our current QB, where the most adamant defenders of the guy he replaced. I think Dan has damaged this fan base, and winning in March/April is the only real joy some folks get. And if its not exciting off the field, its not good enough.

Has it gotten to a point that they can do no right though? What would you say if they were to resign Kirk and then two minutes later signed a player like Josh Gordon?

Happy New Year btw

I would consider signing Kirk smart but very late and would not risk signing Gordon. I wouldn't take the risk, if the dude screws up again you are left holding your goodies in your hand.

Honestly... I would say they made a good move ( resigning Kirk) and a typical Snyder move ( Gordon). I would be totally shocked if they signed Kirk, drafted Vita Vea, or a solid safety.. and avoided the fill the seats signing. Shocked, but actually pleased.

And Happy New Year!!!!!

But they might be forced to make at least one fill the seats signing this year. Whether it be a WR, RB or 2 WRs. I just hope you guys don’t have to hate on every move they make. And full disclosure before this season I did not want Kirk back. As the season wore on I changed my mind on the guy and if he wants to stay we should sign him. I just hope he doesn’t take us to the cleaners with the largest deal in nfl history.

Here is the guy we should be shooting for at free safety

DeShon Elliott*, S, Texas
Height: 6-2. Weight: 210.
Projected 40 Time: 4.58.
Projected Round (2018): 2-3.

Kirk should have been signed last year. If he gets the highest contract in NFL history, it will last for all of a hot minute. And I look at it as the final payment on the mistake of 2012.

I actually like Elliot.. but I think he goes higher than the 2nd round, but I would be ok with that as well.

I get we need a fill the seats move, but if that move is a QB... especially the QB I think they might want.... its another move for sexy over substance in my book.

Yes. You have weapons that would love him.

Yeah, but Denver has really cold weather. I'm not sure Denver fans would "love him" once winter kicks in.

No, I don't believe that they can do right as long as Bruce Allen is GM. In fact, If I told you that we'll get the 13th or 14th pick in the upcoming draft, depending on a coin flip and that they won the flip, then selected to defer to the 14th pick, as dumb as that is, very few will find humor in it because, it's highly possible that it's exactly what he'll do.
