Mike Glennon got $8M and a starting job. Jay Cutler got $10M and a starting job. In my opinion, Kaepernick is much better than Jay Cutler AND Mike Glennon. So I think $10M is about what he's worth.

But is your opinion the opinion of GM's around the league? Cutler was solid yesterday and as I keep saying, Kaep was in no way going to be hired by Miami after the Castro T shirt and comments. A lot of people liked Glennon going into this year and he's a tad younger than Kaep. He also had zero baggage and was not coming off an injury like Kaep.

Josh McCown - $3M
Blake Bortles $3.25M
Scott Tolzien - $1.75M
Tyrod Taylor - $7.5M
Brian Hoyer - $2.95M

Kaep is better than all these guys, including Cutler and Glennon who are at $8M and $10M.

It should be noted with some of these teams, like the jets especially....They are better off going 0-16 or 1-15, than signing Kaep, just to go 6-10 and miss out on a top pick

I'm sure my opinion is the minority in all circles which is fine. But you can't tell me that, when ONLY looking on the field, that Kaep isn't better than Josh McCown, Blake Bortles, Scott Tolzien, Tom Savage or Brian Hoyer.

10 mil on the salary cap for a back up isn't chump change unless you have a young QB not making $ yet. Once you factor in that, on top of the several teams trying to tank, on top of his girlfriend screwing up the Ravens possibility and Miami not being an option, the list of possible teams isn't that extensive

Wasn't the $10 million starter money? That's what the headline read? $10 million for Glennon right?

I agree with that. Jets are better off not showing up at all lol. Save themselves the embarrassment.

I'd say they are about sixes, other than none of those you mentioned brings a fucking media frenzy with them everywhere they go.

Seriously tho. There is not one category or skillset that Kaep is better than Cutler at. Not one.

If you stripped away biases and were going strictly on scouting reports, Cutler would be fucking light years ahead of Kaep.

Hire him and the media frenzy immediately subsides.

It's worse leaving him hanging in limbo giving the media something to rag on.

Faster.

Gun for an arm too.

Not as refined though I'd agree.

So in your opinion, him not getting signed by a team is solely based on his off the field stuff?

I can guarantee you, it would be a team distraction. It's inevitable.

No, I think it's the combination of the two.

As I stated before, if he were a better player, no team would GAF.

Although I agree he's probably still better than those guys you're also including the Tolzien who is already a back up. Considering the Colts are horrible without Luck they're probably better off tanking if he's hurt and trying to get a top pick next year. If they end up with a top 3 or 4 pick they can sell it for a kings ransom since they won't need one of the QB's coming out.

Savage is a place holder for Jackson and with them paying part of Osweiller's contract I am unsure how much cap space they have. If you use the #6 overall pick on a QB you probably want him in there.

Hoyer and McCown are on teams doing everything in their power to tank.

I can't see Kaep in Jacksonville as it's a military town and there would probably be a big backlash. They also want to give Bortles one more shot and if he sucks they might as well be terrible and get in the QB hunt

What is even more inevitable is that it will never die down until he does get playing again.

And maybe he asking for too much so he can keep himself and his agenda out there and relevant?
