Someone else had posted that you recruit cornerbacks to be safeties, safeties to be linebackers, and linebackers as defensive ends. I 100% agree with that for college football.
I think Gerry is all confused on what his job is supposed to be. My guess, the coaching staff has picked him to be the all everything all everywhere player, and that is too much for him. They tell him he has to do it, but the coaches might not have any idea on how to do it or the coaches have not explained to the others that Gerry cannot be responsible for all five receivers, some of them have to take some pressure off of him. It doesn't seem that it is happening. For me, Gerry is very frustrated and it shows on the field.
