Sounds like Anson Carter is doing just fine after hockey (Good for him).
The league is working on two schedule drafts - one including Atlanta, one including Winnipeg.

I think Mike Illitch has been campaigning for some time trying to get the Wings back in the East. I agree dare that it probably makes the most sense to put the Preds in the SE division.
What does that mean? Couldnt the new owners just show up at the regular draft time?
lol...That's good stuff, comeds...
An Atlanta cluster (whatever that is) has reportedly submitted an offer to buy the Thrashers and keep them in Atlanta. I wonder if it's a cluster of Waffle House restaurants.

Well this is ironic, the group that wanted to buy the Coyotes (and blamed Glendale for being willing to take on debt to keep the team), is in debt themselves.

Just because a company owns a debt to an arena, doesn't mean they are as a whole in debt themselves. Looks like to me TN feels that because MTS is a publicy shared arena, the gov't should pay it's share as well.
SJS I know you are loathed to the idea of another Canadian team but come on man, stop trying to rain on our parade.
I dont care what happens to the Atlanta franchise, but it was just obnoxious how all True North and other Winnipeg advocates were so vocal about Glendale's financial decisions, yet cant even get their own fiscal house in order.
has there been more about this debt financing help that True North is looking for from the Manitoba govt?
interesting because its an ndp govt and it looks like they are going to say yes without question
