I really don't get why Detroit would be moved before Columbus. And while part of that stems from me not wanting to play Detroit more often (because they'd be in our division no doubt), geographically CBus moving makes the most sense. And I'd like a guaranteed game in CBus every year.

This, to me, is one of the reasons they should not move before Columbus or Nashville. Detroit is on very solid financial footing and can much more easily afford the travel costs and such associated with being in the west than can Columbus or Nashville.

If we give them a break on a pretty large expense, that's less that the wealthier teams have to put in to keep them afloat.

HEY .... No bitchin at my city. In WWII we were "the great arsenal of democracy". Sure we've been beaten up a bit, but we LOVE our Red Wings. So if all we ask for is to put us in the East ... it's not too much. Beside, I have a little inter-household rivalry (Detroit & Toronto) going on. I would be nice to make amends after Toronto (just happens) to beats us.

I wouldn't mind Detroit coming to the Atlantic. I want no part of Columbus coming over though. If either team were to join who gets kicked out? Pitt to the NE? Philly to SE? I'd personally rather lose Pitt, but not for Columbus.
