Eagles 1 year deal. Hate to see him leave. His versatility will be missed.
What about forcing the fumble against the Steelers?
Not sure if Trey Marshall can fill his void... Might be looking for a a 3rd safety now with Marshall being that 4th guy. Safety depth is now a need Marshall might be able to fill it but even if so then we need some more depth there. I have always thought Duke Dawson might make a good safety.
4th round seems hard to believe. I haven't heard that yet, but we've seen players slide far like that before.
Delpit had a rough year. I have no idea how he won the Jim Thorpe. But he also played on a very bad ankle this year. He is a good safety, just not the type of year anyone expected. Baffles me how he won the Jim Thorpe award. He wasn't even the second best DB on his team this year (Derek Stingley Jr, Kriston Fulton).. But Delpit can play. We saw that his FR and SO year. Needs work on tackling... But a better player then he showed this year. His ankle really hampered him the entire season.
Derek Stingley Jr of LSU is gonna be the top CB prospect to come out in a long time by the time he hits the draft.
Florida FR Kaiir Elam is also a special player.
Alabama CB Patrick Surtain isn't Stingley but he is also very good.
Stingley is probably the best FR CB I have ever seen. I haven't seen as good of a FR DB as him since my boy Ed Reed!
An incoming FR next year CB- Kelee Ringo of Georgia should be very good as well.
That injury is why I wouldn't mind Delpit in the 2nd. When healthy he has shown top-10 potential and gives the Broncos a nice 1-2-3 punch at the safety position.
