Appears it's the prorated equivalent to the $17.9M qualifying offer.

After this last year, kind of surprised he went with a 1 year deal. He's right back in the same boat next winter.
It seems like by the time he actually starts pitching the season will be about half over. Still not a bad signing though. Those two young starting pitchers on the Braves look really good. It's the veteran Gausman/Folty guys that seem to be their weak spot

That and 100% of their fan base is just front running bandwagoners. Let the Yankees trade histories with the Mets and they’d all be Mets fans. Sickening
It's happened more than a few times, usually after the Yankees have been eliminated that they become Mets fans...

They allow their closer to have neck tats that border on face tats, but no beard because they wanna stay classy. This is why people hate the Yankees

Big George also hated mullets.

Ask Don Mattingly.

That would be a pretty difficult trade, as one has a 60+ year longer history than the other one.

You know good and damn well if the Mets has won as many World Series as the Yankees since 62 and the Yankees only had 2, you’d be a Mets fan.

I do?

Sorry, champ. That's not how it works.

In NY, you're either an AL fan or an NL fan. Been that way for well over 100 years.

And most of y’all went with the team that wins the most. Pure laziness

Sure I have. Lived there, worked there. A large portion of the fanbase expects to win, and acts like children when they don't.

I remember once when Chuck Knoblauch tried to argue a call with the umpire during a live ball during the ALCS. Cleveland won on the ensuing run, and there were calls in NY for his head. He apologized multiple times, to no avail. It was Game 2.
