well, whichever team ends up paying him huge money better structure it in a way that they pay him a lot for the next few years but then can get out of the contract without a huge hit. Mack is 27.5 years old. i'd say he's got 3 or 4 good seasons left if he stays healthy and then he will tail off pretty quickly.

Two first round picks and then spending a ton of money to sign him is too much. I think he will end up staying in Oakland if Oakland wants that in return

What that means is a team offered a 1st and maybe a 2nd and was turned down, the writer then assumes they are holding out for 2 1st. Nothing to see here.

2 firsts plus taking on that salary.... Mack is gong nowhere with those demands, Raiders need to pay the man and move forward...

yep, i suppose a first and a third might be a little more reasonable. He's a good player but 2 firsts is too steep for him.

What would be an offer better than a 1st and 2nd but less than two 1sts?

No one is trading 2 1sts for the privilege of paying him 23 million a year.

Khalil Mack trade Packers favorite

Its looking more and more like Oakland does not want to give him a long term deal........He has yet to show up for camp and has not talked to Gruden.......Lots of trade rumors out there but I would love to see him in a Green Bay Packer uniform. Packers have plenty of ammo to get him with two 1st RD picks next season....They could trade 1 of those and maybe a 3rd RD pick and throw in Clay Matthews or Nick Perry.

I think Oakland will struggle the first year under Gruden and will be lucky to finish 8-8.
They want two first round picks for him. I doubt it...

Raiders should just franchise tag him in 2019 and 2020 and then let him walk after that. He'll be 30 at that point.

that would work if he will actually show up and play all 16 games. Right now, a lot of NFL people think that Mack may not join the team until later in the season (only when he has to report to get credit for playing in the season-- i think it's something like 6 or 8 games--someone probably knows exactly when). And if they tag him next year and 2020, he may do the same thing?

Cash has been an issue for the Raiders for time immemorial. Just about every deal they make with another team they ask for cash as part of the deal...and it's been that way since 1960.

2 first rounders? It's just a starting point for negotiations....but what does that mean exactly? A team who usually spends time in Super Bowls/Championship games and such giving up a pair of extremely low 1st rounders is a much different scenario than say a team that is around that top 5 draft after draft.

He's not a QB and he ain't a game changer. Let him sit. Assholes are wrecking the game.
