Is he starting alongside Deandre Hopkins this year?

He has looked good in preseason so far

His speed likely gets him starts opposite Hopkins and Strong's issues may put him as the #3. I think Fuller has lots of upside, probably more so than Strong.

If Strong can put aside off the field shit and just play ball the Texans would have one hell of a trio.

Fuller was the best WR in the draft this year. Houston got a steal.

Braxton Miller should be more useful for them if they can design the ball into his hands.

Doesnt seem like an objective take

That's what I was thinking. I thought of all the 1st round WR's he honestly had a lot of growing up to do as a WR. He is a great deep threat with his speed but he also struggles with drops, not great over the middle, and has what I think is one of the worst traits a WR can have of being more of a body catcher than always wanting to catch with his hands. Doesn't mean he can't grow as a WR but there is plenty for him to be working on.

He's definitely starting and looks like a major sleeper in fantasy.

Anybody with even a hint of talent opposite Hopkins should get a lot of one-on-one opportunities. Fuller with his speed definitely has a chance to have some big weeks. I just think once teams take away the deep ball from him though he could really struggle to produce consistently. Needs to add more to his game.

Fuller is good for what he's being used for, but I thought Doctson was the better all-around WR in this draft. More polished runner, and didn't struggle with the drops. Better contested catches. Really wanted the Bengals to get him in round 1, but I did like the CB pick as well. Also, Boyd has turned out to be a solid addition, so it all worked out.

Yeah that is who I figured they were going for. If I remember right they traded up in the draft a spot or two. Just figured since Osweiler is not really known as the best deep ball thrower and having 2 great possession receivers could be huge for that offense that Doctson made more sense for the type of offense they have ran with O'Brien.

I remember comparing him to Paul Richardson the WR out of Seattle before Fuller got 1st round buzz. I thought he was a mid-late 2nd rounder just due to speed being his only elite attribute.

Yeah that was more where I would have him. Now yes his speed is definitely on the elite side and we saw it even on the field with the Irish but when that is your only real attribute and you lack in some very basic areas as a WR I just can't use a 1st round pick on the player. Now like I said he can develop but that is going to take a couple of years. Even then I just don't see him as that natural receiver that you can just watch and know this is a high quality player that can do everything for you.

Ted Ginn Jr seems like a comp as well, at least until he proves otherwise

I think Fuller is a little better than those two. More production in 3 years.

Ginn was 14.4 yards per catch, 135 receptions, 15 TDS
Richardson was 15.5 yards per catch, 156 receptions, 21 TDS
Fuller was 17.4 yards per catch, 144 receptions, 30 TDS

Twice the TD production as Ginn with more catches and more yards per catch.

Fuller should be okay in the NFL especially considering the division he'll be playing in and the fact that he'll be playing with a top 5 WR. Probably a starting #2 or #3 WR for 2 contracts at least. Just not a pro bowl kind of guy but he'll put up decent stats I bet.

I don't disagree with this. My thought though is if I am using a 1st round pick on a WR I'm wanting a #1 type WR out of the deal not a good #2. You can find plenty of good #2's later in the draft
