Anything is possible. With Sayin coming in(already signed and was part of the bowl game prep) I would say there will be competition. Spring game will show us a good bit about what QB has the edge, but fall practice could be the decider. If Sayin doesnt beat him out for the starting job, then Saban is going with game experience over raw talent and intends to bring Sayin along slowly his first year.

In everything I have seen of this kid, he has a pinpoint arm, is smart, and has some chops running as well.

I think there will be a legit competition for the starting QB next season. I could see if Jalen doesn't feel confident of his status as starter coming out of the Spring game, he could enter the portal in May.

Jalen was good, but I still think he has a lot of improvement to be made between now and the end of spring if he wants to feel confident as Bama's starting QB next season.

Saban tells all players there is no job guarantee. They fight for their positions each year, it's not automatic.
