Pats asked Wilfork to restructure and he said no. Pats are not going to pay a 33 yr old that is 350 pounds coming off Achilles surgery 11.7 mill.

Loved him as a Patriot and wish him well. I am willing to bet he will end up at around 4mill per year max...I also bet that the Pats offered that amount.

He'll get 4-6 on a very short term contract IMO. On a one year- he could get 6. On a two year, he could get ten, with 6 in the first year. Then he'll also get the 3.6 mil from the Pats for cutting him, so he'll probably still end up with 8-9 mil on the year. The Pats had to have expected to release him once they asked him to restructure.

You maybe right..I do not know. I dont think if I was a GM I would throw up 6 mill let alone 11.7 for a 33 yr old noseguard coming off surgery but of course I am not a GM.
