UGH! He sucked last year, he still sucks. Why do the Ms continue to employ this useless waste of space?

Easily the best defensive outfielder we have right now. Not sure who you think should be on the roster instead at this point.

If we're going off of past performance Smoak and Ackley shouldn't be on the team either after all they sucked the last 2 years.

Argh forget about defense. Admittedly I'm a n00b when it comes to understanding baseball and only look at average/HRs/RBIs... so thanks for educating me that his defense is worth the low offensive statistics.

Saunders is still on the team for the same reason as Ackley and Smoak, potential. Saunders has a good amount of natural ability and has potential to be a 20HR/20SB type guy. The Mariners could do a lot worse than Saunders as far as a roster spot goes.

He is one of those guys that if you let him go, it is easy to picture him developing into a lesser version of Mike Cameron somewhere else.

Saunders is valuable for his defense ha. he's the best we got for right there, right now so that's why he's still here. I sure hope Seager can pull out of this little slump he's in soon.

saunders is still on this team for the same reason ackley and smoak are on this team....because we couldnt find anyone better in the offseason. I remember early in the offseason ackley and smoak were available for trade and we ran hard in signing nelson cruz if he was on this team im sure saunders would be on assignment.

yeah, saunders is still good defensively. i like the idea of him getting out there late in close games.

the outfield is a huge liability defensively. it's already bitten us a little, but it's going to get more and more apparent over the season.

i think there's something to the new manager and batting instructor. maybe they'll be able to help saunders recognize his potential a bit more.

I would rather have Saunders getting the majority of playing time over Morrison. Im not convinced Morrison is a better hitter than saunders.
