Notre Dame will be #5 on my poll this week. That is where they are ranked in the polls, and i'm not sure how anyone can justify them lower than that.

They haven't played ANYBODY.

All we heard going into the season was how tough Notre Dame's schedule was. Now it looks like shit. Any win against the Big 10 is a joke. None of The Service Academy's are good this year. BYU is down as well.

Hype is one thing, but this is a bit ridiculous.

Are there more than 5 teams that deserve to be ranked ahead of them? Why are you not starting these threads about Bama or Oregon?

I guess your comparing the ND and Oregon Schedules and results.

Im not saying ND is a bad team, I currently have them ranked in the top 10 but not in the top 5.

I guess its because the way they are winning.

*3pt win at home vs a 3-4(0-3) Purdue team
*win vs a 4-4 (1-3) Michigan St. team
*7pt win at home vs an overated Michigan team that got destroyed by alabama
* 7pt win at home vs a Stanford team that barely beat San Jose state, arizona and lost to 3-4 washington
*3 pt win at home(again) vs a 4 loss BYU team

ND has only played 2 road games, at Navy and at Michigan St. The Miami game was not a road game for them. I dont see them doing very well at Oklahoma.

Compare that to oregon that has scored

Using margin of victory alone to distinguish how close a game was is stupid. A good offensive team is much more at risk in in a 59-35 game that Notre Dame would be in a 24-10 game.

I say, a win is a win, and I don't care how you get it. I don't really get the whole "we have to drop 40,50, or 60 pts. for BCS consideration" shit. It's completely low class and unsportsman like. Now if your 2's and 3's are on the field and scoring that's different. But when you're up by 4 TD's in the 4th and you're still hurling the deep ball so your margin of victory is acceptable to the bcs then that's shit. just my opinion.

Purdue is fair. Forgot about that. ND was never really in trouble in the 4th against BYU. The Mormons never got into field goal range in the fourth.

I am a forever ND hater, but I have no problem with where they are ranked. To me they haven't looked impressive at all but they are undefeated and they have beat some quality (by name) teams. I don't know who should be ranked ahead of them right now that already isn't.
