Why hasn't Scott Walker played?

I wish I knew....

I also wish I knew why Matt Bradley has had such limited ice time...

Guys like that are the guys who are scoring against Halak. Dirty goals are key and those two guys are willing to go get them. I would like to see the lines switched up to look a little more like this:

8 - 19 - 25
21 - 18 - 22
28 - 15 - 16
24 - 39 - 10

14 out, 9 out

Hopefully BB realizes you need more of those crash and bang guys when the goalie is playing like he's doing rails of coke in between periods. I'm assuming there hasn't been word of who is in/out for game seven?

Well, Poti is done for sometime and i can not see any way that Fleischman can be justified a sweater. That leaves a spot for Scott Walker or Brendan Morrison. Either of those guys would be a significant upgrade. As for Poti's spot, it will be Erskine or Sloan. I prefer Erskine because he has some wheels and will actually finish a check and clear the crease. Man do i wish Jurcina would get healthy though....

We very well could see him in game 7. Getting B-Mo out was right. I honestly thought that Gabby would lead off with him scratched. However, with Belanger being so unbelievable on draws it is easy to understand Stecks getting the hook.

I like 46's line up for game seven. I also heard Juice was skating but doubt he would be good to go. I am going to presume Sloan will get the call for Poti, but I would really like to see Erskine get a go. He and Juice were tremendous in the playoffs last year. Erskine is slow, but he deserves a chance methinks. This is all presuming of course Alzner got the call up simply for depth.

He actually has better straight line speed than most of our other blue liners. I have seen it in practice. he can be a little slow in transition but he backskates fast and has good get up when moving the puck out of the zone. Plus, I would like to see a little bit of nastiness and he deserves a sweter just for this:

Good. He was sick last year. I just don't see the logic in not playing him, especially since Caps fans seem to have issues with other guys that currently are playing.

The thing that i don't understand about this series is the Capitals are a super deep team and they rolled 4 solid lines all year that could put the puck in the back of the net. However since the playoffs started they are relying so much on their top two lines and not letting the grinders and checkers involved. I know all teams do it in the playoffs but it seems like the Caps are doing it a little more than usual.

I don't have issues per se. But I certainly don't see the harm in shaking things up if the guys involved have done little to this point. I love Flash, but even at the angle, he needed to bury that puck. Getting Walker in gives them disruptive net presence through all lines and they NEED guys parked in front of Halak the duration of offensive attack in game 7.

46, I am with you man. As you said, back skating he leaves little to be desired. I think it is worth the trade off though if he puts someone through the glass trying to go around him . . . preferably Tomas Plekanec

I would honestly sit Flash and Jizz in a room today and make them watch EVERY SINGLE shift that Belanger played last night. he went into the corners and ground along the back wall and crashed the net all night...with a broken fucking mouth while those two lollygaggers stood around and watched. Before the playoff started, I saw belanger as a simple rental. Now I want to sign him. Also Fehr should get an offer sheet at then end of the season. Flash should get a box to pack his shit in.

I would go so far as to say Belanger needs to be signed. He has been everything an more we picked him up for and one of the guys I would say has given absolutely everything he has every night, not only in this series(where he has been stellar despite a lack of second line production) but in every game he has played. Skill guys with lots of character are a rare breed, and he has that right now.

I don't know what is wrong with Flash, but with the depth at Center and the versatility of said centers to play the wing and contribute 20+ goals from there, I don't see how he can't be playing with an incredible sense of urgency.
