How long were you in NYC. I lived in forest hills queens for quite a while

1981-96, basically. Got a Wall Street job when those were downtown, and lived in the Village. Moved to the West Side when my firm moved midtown. Stayed in the same apartment after I left the firm.

nobody that knows a damn thing about football will say Brady has been carried by his receivers. Many seasons he carried the whole team.

What do you mean, his no#1 receiver Welker leaves, and becomes Denver's no#1. They have to take a player that was QB in college, made into a kick off specialist and then because of depth of receivers, becomes Brady's #1 guy. Was nice to see Gronk healthy this year, and Amendola too

so you're saying brady has always been carried by his recievers :noidea: they can't beat the Giants because they are to familiar with bellicheck and his "tactics" they nullify his cheating

I'm saying none of the above ... not even the coherent parts.

The idea that there's some institutional memory at the Giants about BB doesn't seem very coherent to me, and I have no idea what the nullifying cheating bit is about.

Which did you prefer the village or west side? I loved the food and everything in walking distance. But I prefer the upstate life more laid back quiet. Guess that happens when you get older

The Giants seem to have something when it comes to the pats. Bellicheck was a product of the NYG the giants success while he was with the team is what propelled him. I believe the organization may be too familiar with him. I don't see him ever getting that monkey off his back

We will see next season, as Pats play the NFC East

In those days the advantages were all to the West Side. There was no comparison in the restaurants, and my West Side location was just generally more central (across the street from Lincoln Center).

But yeah -- I completely prefer the suburban life now. We can have half a dozen species of bird come to our feeder over a ten minute period. And it's QUIET.

I don't see the causality. It's in the individual coaches, I think, not the whole franchise. E.g., if there's one coach I fear for the coaching's sake, it's Rex Ryan.

it was that the Giants had a very good front 7 and the Pats o-line was not a great area of strength. It was a bad matchup for the Pats although in both losses the Pats offense handed a late lead over to the defense and they crumbled. To blame those losses on Brady is just flat out stupidity. The defense didn't DO THEIR JOB!!

Yeah I enjoy the peace and the wildlife too. To be honest the city started to get to me after a while. That lifestyle grew old for me. It was fun for a while but there are a lot of things I don't miss

Why would you fear Rex Ryan you have me curious I was never impressed with Ryan

His defenses gave the Pats fits numerous times when he was with the Jets. He got some wins with quite inferior personnel, and there were also some close escapes.

It was mainly just "Flood the center and gamble on the sides", which when I put it that way sounds obvious, but he pulled it off well. Better when he had Revis, of course.
