Are you losing your normally serene composure? All I did was start a thread during boring off season to get some people involved. Well go look at the page count in a short time. It worked! Do you really think this is a major major issue for me. I don't really give a flying fuck if the rules are changed or anything is ever done. I also don't think whether Alabama players fake injuries or not is going to keep them from winning a championship.

However, everything I wrote I believe but YOU don't have to think these thoughts come with deep rooted passion. ON the other hand, it must be with you. Kind of losing your cool there, aren't you? To basically say I shouldn't have a negative opinion against this because Alabama is #1 in recruiting, has the best coach and has been #1 in the polls lately is just outright assenine!!!

You might want to check how you're coming across. Now don't necessarily go by asking all these people in here. It seems like 90 percent of the posters in here are from the west.

This crap about too fast is a joke. Fact remains that a fast tempo can hurt your own defense if you do not get first downs. Pace is not a huge advantage if a defense gets stops. Takes a toll if the offense continually moves the ball. Defensive players have become specialists. This is simply the offenses answer.

Most everyone made reference to how sore they anticipated they would be and how hard the LSU D( and the offensive players too)

Sure do! All the rules favor the offense. Go for it! You're not going to see it done one percent of the time but I think they should do it. Is every aspect of the game honest?

If they would come with a rule that gave the defense some rights to substitute but still keep the pace going I would be fine with it but until then go for it!

And this should be the rule.

1) The Defense can substitute any time during the game, at ANYTIME. While the clock is running/stopped and the opposing team can keep snapping the ball.

So this has to come into play then The coaches of these teams if they have certain packages for plays then they damn well have there players grouped together on the sidelines, standing next to the coach, Chin straps up ready to go in and play. HMMMM No time out needed, and like wise the defense needs to know when the change is coming. it's simple. HAVE YOUR DAMN PLAYERS READY TO PLAY SO YOU DON"T BURN A T.O.

Imagine that. This thread started by a Bama fan. Unless I'm mistaken, Saban was one of the few coaches that wanted the NCAA to do something about the up-temple offenses too. Never thought I'd see such whininess from an NC team fans and coach.

Until the rules change, the up-tempo offenses are good to go. Instead of faking injury, how about manning up and playing? At the very least, don't bitch about it because your team can't handle it.

This thread was NOT about whether Alabama can or can not handle a hurry up offense. It was about my opinion if the rule makers were and continue to put the control only in the offenses hands I think strategically the defenses has every right to have players lay down. Again, I am NOT saying anything about Alabama specifically. If I have referred to them in any way it is in direct response to someone stating something about Alabama and this issue. The rules makers have gone to far in my opinion. Everything for the offense. Although it does benefit Alabama. How? They control the clock keeping the other defense on the field a long time. They then stop the offense putting them right back on the field. AGAIN, THIS WAS NOT ABOUT WHETHER BAMA HANDLES THIS OR NOT. IT IS ABOUT FAIRNESS.

I'm not worried about the Tide. They will be fine against any type offense. I hope with all my heart Bama plays a team that excels in this offensive style in the NC game. I think they will handle themselves fine. We will also see early September at College Station. Lets talk then too.
