Actually I've thought about it and I understand it was a tough decision. As stated by the police officers who fired the shots, there was no real clear way to go about doing it. They went back and forth on what they were going to do and ultimately decided their best chance would be to go with shotguns. I can understand it, I just know it wasn't a situation where they were automatically like, "well boys, this is a no-brainer here.....grab the shotties yeeeeeheeeewww, I hate cats anyways."

No I'm not smarter than those people. I probably had a higher ACT though

It's also easier for me to sit here on the Internet and say what they should have done when I wasn't there on the spot needing to make a snap decision.

Did they use buckshot instead or bird-shot? I would have used a slug myself. That beast (or one like it) had been close to my brother's and my sister's houses before it moved back west. The creek along 120th street actually runs along another brother's backyard. I would never want to see my great nieces killed by that animal which doesn't belong there. My biggest concern is whether or not this came from Western Nebraska, those cubs by Missouri Valley, or was released by some idiot that tried to raise it until it got too big and expensive to feed.
