14 potential big movers on National Signing Day

Florida
The Gators, with the the No. 11 class, are favored to add four-star cornerback Kaiir Elam, the son of longtime NFL DB Abram Elam. The younger Elam is one of the best prospects left on the board and would be a relatively big boost on his own. Would he get Florida into the top 10, a nice round number the Gators and their fans would love to point to? Maybe.

The Gators have a lot of recruiting momentum for 2020, with the No. 3 class for that year at the moment. They have a chance to make at least one significant splash heading into that cycle. If the Gators don’t get into the top 10, it’ll mark the first time in the rankings era that none of UF, Miami, and FSU has finished with a top-10 class.

He's also the nephew of Matt Elam who played for us about 6 years ago before going on to the NFL.

Also, though it does not count in the recruiting rankings, we picked up 3 transfers who started for us last year. This year we've picked up Jonathon Greenard from Louisville (7.5 sacks/15 tackles for loss 2 years ago before missing last season with an injury). We are also probably going to get Josh Braun who was 2 time ALL ACC as an OL for Ga Tech. There is talk about another guy who is a multiyear starting OL for another SEC team and the older brother of one of our players who will transfer in at the end of summer. That would be 6 starters which is a huge infusion of talent.

If it's realistic hopes.. Lance LeGendre, QB and Darius Washington, OT.

LeGendre is a 4* Dual Threat QB out of Louisiana who FSU has a great shot of landing and Washington is just a 3* OT but hey.. the line needs somethin

Where do you think Nester will land? I hear he is announcing Wed now.
My guess is it's between PSU and VT. It lines up with the timeframe of OSU offering Vimahi. Both are 4* guards, but we just offered Vimahi a couple of weeks ago, so my guess is he's leaning towards flipping.

CB Kaiir Elam. Though we're in the running for three more top 100 prospects as well as a grad transfer OL. I expect to get Elam + 1 more HS prospect and the transfer.

Got Elam. Got another top 100 national recruit in Khris Bogle today.

Now we'll be gunning for OL Parker Braun to transfer in from Ga Tech.

Longtime Longhorns OT pledge Javonne Shepherd signs with Texas

In the final days of Shepherd’s recruitment, the Longhorns were able to hold off the Aggies and others.

At long last, Javonne Shepherd is officially a member of the head coach Tom Herman’s 2019 class, as the Houston North Shore offensive tackle inked his National Letter of Intent with the Texas Longhorns on Wednesday, siding with the Horns over options including Alabama, Georgia, and most notably, Texas A&M.

Neglecting the offensive and defensive lines were key reasons why they slid down into mediocrity.

Yep ... a lot of UW fans thought he was going to UW for sure seeing how he has a friend who just signed on with Washington.

I had to edit my post because I remembered some recruiting tricks from the Lane Kiffin days that could have turned him too. I mean when they treat you like Jesus Shuttlesworth it's bound to impress a high school kid.
