I forgot to add Andre Roberts. All accounts are that he is having a very good camp.

Jay also has high praise for Hall. Having a great camp and taking a few reps at safety past few days, cuz he wants to expand his versatility. kudos to him.

Might allow Breeland a shot to be on the field a few times this upcoming season. Like the way it allows development for our young secondary depth...

So the battle is Thompson against Seastruck. Neither can pass block. RG3 likes Thompson. So it should be Alf, Helu, and Thompson as our backs. All the other guys you guys mentioned should be a lock to make the roster.

dean they have yet to play a game. It is way too early to be deciding who makes the team. There maybe a few guys who are working towards playing their way off the team but they are mostly running drills now. There are guys who can improve still. It will all work out in the next few weeks.

True, but I think the practices hold more weight than the actual games unless you really bomb during the game.

i think roberts has had the best camp so far and appears to be a FA steal

now some guys who might not be on everyone's radar

will comton ILB he has a year in the system and from what i am gathering he is very cerebral . could be a surprise guy

ryan grant , this kid could be the best # 5 wr in the nfl . runs great routes has great hands gets good separation (sorry for the over hype)

zack hocker he won big at fan appreciation day with his kicking . much stronger leg then cobra kai

keenon robinson ILB , dud , he would have to have a complete collapse in preseason games not to be the starter

breeland cb , he seems to be making a push for the 3 or 4 job already

amerson CB . this kid looks to be a solid pro for us as a starter

stieger at C he seems to be the answer there

haslett and the defensive coaches . i see alot of good developing of youn g players going on over there

Football is probably one of the most technique specific sport there is. The work the players are doing now is huge. It is often one on one or two on two. Gruden has ramped up the hitting but only so much tackling is allowed by the CBA.

Games are when the live bullets fly. Games are when 11 vs. 11 where the other 11 are trying to defeat you happens. Nothing beats or compares to giving an accurate read then a game.

Gruden said as much. You can't really evaluate a guy until he's under live fire. Gruden knows who his top 35 players are. He needs to find out the next 20 and their play in preseason games will go a long way to determining that.

We are about to find out who is having the best camp. You can hit ground balls to a shortstop before the game and he can look like Ozzie Smith, then the game starts and he lets 3 balls go right by him and throws one into the stands.

The coaches have a good idea who is excelling and chances are those guys will continue to impress at the next stage, but funny things happen when you go against real opponents. Some rise up, and some fall.
