Thursday, November 23rd:
Quarterfinals:

Missouri vs. Long Beach State - 11:30 -- ESPN2
St. John's vs. Oregon State - 2:00 -- ESPNU
UCF vs. Nebraska - 6:00 -- ESPN3
West Virginia vs. Marist - 8:30 -- ESPNews

Pretty intriguing tournament. A lot of different contrasting styles. I can actually see UCF getting to the final. I think the match up with WVU is a good one for them and Nebraska isn't very good this year.

This is tough predict, because Missouri is a huge wildcard. St. John's is a bit of a question mark as well.

I can definitely see UCF beating Nebraska. If they beat Nebraska, I don't see us beating West Virginia. They did lose to Texas A&M though. Tough to tell and I don't wanna get too cocky with my Knights, so I'm gonna say West Virginia and Missouri in the final. I wouldn't be surprised if Oregon State gets to the final though.

I would have said coming into the season this is WVU's to lose, but they looked pretty bad against TAMU, who was without 2 of their top 5 players as well. It honestly wouldn't surprise me to see Missouri, St. John's, Oregon State, UCF or WVU win this thing.

Missouri got a stud recruit in Porter Jr. Bright future in him.

If UCF is the team I think they are(had them in my preseason bracketology) they should definitely beat a team like Nebraska who struggled to beat a bad OVC team their first game. But as always upsets happen, especially in tournament formats, but UCF will be favored and should win. I like UCF's guard play, which is why I think that's a pretty good match up against WVU in beating the press. But I can definitely see your final playing out. Those are probably the odds on favorites to meet in the final.

I like the recruiting of Myles Douglas and we have a very tall team. I don't think we have anyone under 6ft 2in. Johnny D did wonders in his first year. Went from a 12-13 win team to a 20+ win team. Had us relevant again for the first time since Kirk Speraw.

Does Porter being out essentially clear the path for another team to make the final? I'm still hoping UCF makes the final.

With a healthy Porter I think Missouri would have been the favorite in the top half of the bracket. I think St. John's is now the favorite. Would be cool to see to old Big East rivals square off in the final.

My final prediction is West Virginia vs. St. John's. I am still holding out hope that UCF wins this thing but I think West Virginia might be a little too much for my Knights. Great start to the season though.

Long Beach offense is hilarious. Just dribbling seems to be a challenge. Their shooting is on an entire different level of bad

Long Beach State's entire basketball program is hilarious. They are a pretty steady .500 team but when it comes to playing with much better teams, it's visible that they don't have the talent to keep up.
