Since there is an option to change the answer and many, including myself, will want to choose another team.

Years of Super Bowls victories and not season is how I think Team of the Decade is decided.

Here's the list of teams of the past decades starting with the 60s

1960s - Green Bay Packers
1970s - Pittsburgh Steelers
1980s - San Francisco 49ers
1990s - Dallas Cowboys
2000s - New England Patriots

Super Bowls in 2010s

2010 - New Orleans 31, Indianapolis 17
2011 - Green Bay 31, Pittsburgh 25
2012 - New York Giants 21, New England 17
2013 - Baltimore 34, San Francisco 31
2014 - Seattle 43, Denver 8
2015 - New England 28, Seattle 24

Seattle and New England each have 2 SB appearances and won 1 each. They are the 2 best teams and will decide this in the next 5 years.....

And off of that, I don't know how longer New England can do it though. It seems like Seahawks are the new Patriots.

I voted for the 49ers on the first one. Partly to be homer, but I also thought they had a team that could do great things. Then this offseason happened.

I can also see the Packers, Colts, or Eagles getting in the mix.

GB, but interested to see how much better the cast around Luck will be this year. Could see these two teams dominating the latter half of the decade and since they both have been in a SB already...

Dominating? We'll see. GB gets lots of kudos for sticking to the draft only. I see that as a weakness, you should use every avenue to improve your team, but be prudent. The Packers take being prudent to far IMO, they basically pass on trades and free agencies and stick to the draft. Minus Arron Rodgers just how good are the Packers? Not very is the answer. As for the Colts, well they had the same chance as the Seahawks to build a team, yet all I hear is that it's Luck and a bunch of duds. Doesn't sound good to me for the future.

in the beginning I would have thought the Saints, but they kinda fell off a cliff. Lately I would have thought the niners had a base for longevity. But then they get rid of a successful HC & the team blew apart this season.
Right now I think the slight favorite would be the Seahawks. Think they can make it through the rest of the decade on a high level. The Pats have to be a consideration, but I feel like they will get caught up too. GB can always be a threat the rest of this decade. So those would be my top three. The Colts if they make some right moves to improve their team could be the dark horse.

So my pick for now is the Seahawks.

If Pittsburgh can get the defensive side of the ball back to a relatively decent level of play, we will be making noise once again.

I meant GB dominating as in being the team good enough to be known as team of the decade. I wasn't implying they will win 4 more SBs or anyhting like that. I didn't make the topic, just answering my opinion.

if jimmy is half as good as they say he will be, the transition from tom to jimmy will be/should be seamless.

brady ends his career in SF...hate to say it.

i love me some brady, but im really looking forward to seeing what jimmy can do...when brady decides to retire or move on.

2015 - New England 28, Seattle 24

2011 is the first year, and therefore season of the 10's decade.

Why do so many people not understand this simple concept of the Gregorian calendar? There was no year 0, therefore the first year of any decade is always 1 or 11, and so on.

Also the Green Bay SB was the 2010 season championship, so there really are only 4 SB's thus far.

No clear front runner, though NE and Seattle, the two most despised teams in the league, have the early edge.

So you predict a seamless transition from a 1st ballot Hall of Famer QB to a guy zero starts under his belt?

sure

there was a seamless transition from the highest paid QB in NFL history (at the time) to a guy who nearly went undrafted.

if jimmy has time to learn...and from what ive seen so far...yeah, it very well could be. remember what brady was his first 3 years as a starter...a game manager.

jimmy has 20x the athleticism brady has and SEEMS to make good decisions with the football more times than not.

He seems like a big upgrade over Mallett but you're just going to be let down if you expect it to be a seamless transition.

can i ask why denver doesnt have an asterisk? (illegally circumventing the salary cap, fined draft picks...a crime some say is far worse than benign cameras)

why dont the steelers? illegal OTA's...no asterisk

why not the colts? fake crowd noise on CD
