sure

there was a seamless transition from the highest paid QB in NFL history (at the time) to a guy who nearly went undrafted.

if jimmy has time to learn...and from what ive seen so far...yeah, it very well could be. remember what brady was his first 3 years as a starter...a game manager.

jimmy has 20x the athleticism brady has and SEEMS to make good decisions with the football more times than not.
One thing no one knows yet is if he has the "it" factor.
That will be determined on the field. If I was a NE fan, I would not be looking forward to seeing Brady's replacement take over.

That is some interesting logic right there.

2011 is the first year, and therefore season of the 10's decade.

Why do so many people not understand this simple concept of the Gregorian calendar? There was no year 0, therefore the first year of any decade is always 1 or 11, and so on.

What is confusing with the NFL is the Super Bowl and the season are represented by 2 different years. This past NFL season would be considered 2014 season but 2015 Super Bowl. So does the decade begin with the 2010 Super Bowl (2009) or the 2010 season (2011 Super Bowl). I don't know what NFL Network used to decide other decades.

Also, decades are simple math. "deca" means by 10. So, when the number in the 10s place changes, a new deca period has occurred. At least that is what they have been teaching in the school systems for at least 25 years. So when it became 2010, a new decade occurred because of that "1" in the 10s spot.

if jimmy is half as good as they say he will be, the transition from tom to jimmy will be/should be seamless.

brady ends his career in SF...hate to say it.

i love me some brady, but im really looking forward to seeing what jimmy can do...when brady decides to retire or move on.

Can you imagine if a non NE fan sad basically the same thing on here?

i know, right

imagine niner fans saying theyre fine going from joe montana to steve young (young you will recall, was labeled a bust prior to SF...mostly due to those awful buccs teams)

imagine a patriots fan with the audacity to say that unknown kid from michigan who got pulled from a preseason game vs carolina in 2000 (i was there) could replace, let alone surpass, the highest paid QB in the sport.

imagine the dumbassery...

Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future success.

It's possible that he will be a great QB but the laws of probability are not on your side.

Dominating? We'll see. GB gets lots of kudos for sticking to the draft only. I see that as a weakness, you should use every avenue to improve your team, but be prudent. The Packers take being prudent to far IMO, they basically pass on trades and free agencies and stick to the draft. Minus Arron Rodgers just how good are the Packers? Not very is the answer. As for the Colts, well they had the same chance as the Seahawks to build a team, yet all I hear is that it's Luck and a bunch of duds. Doesn't sound good to me for the future.
You can't even spell Aaron Rodgers correctly. It's funny you think you can run a team better than an actual GM. All you seattle fans think your team is the Mecca of the NFL. Still not used to success.

i never said great. i just said a seamless transition, i.e 12-14 wins a year.

from the brief stints i saw (and some like KC, in prevent defenses..so grain o' salt) he looked like he could do it. he made some awful rookie decisions, holding the ball too long, etc. but he has the athleticism to create plays with his legs...something we havent had here since mike bishop.

i think i read that if he was drafted this year he would go third (in terms of QB's drafted)

I know you are very young and new here but understand that we have been hearing this about the Patriots for 14 years. Try some new material. Study up. You are too young to be labeled a mindless moron - like the rest of the old, blind haters.....

Ummmmm...... right.
If he had to take over the pats next year, theyd still win the division. Hed be the best or second best qb in the division depending on your feelings on tannehill.

I'm not a Jet fan, wtf do I care about Brady? four times? Damn, wish my team had that many SBs...

If you don't think there would be Pat fans coming out of the woodwork to defend Brady If a non-Pats fan said that about your beloved Brady you ain't paying attention. I don't even necessarily disagree with you. I think it will be seamless too. Don't really think you will notice too much of a difference when Garopplo takes over for Brady and I think it will be in 2016.

But using Beldsoe to Brady and Montana to Young as your "proof" is silly. What about the other 100 times HOF QBS retired? Those don't count?

And people wonder why we are falling behind internationally in education.:L

The first year of any decade ends with the number 1, not 0. We use the Gregarian calendar in the US which has no year 0.

As for the NFL the New England Patriots are the 2014 Champions, and yes the NFL confuses it they way they refer to it as the 2015 season.

Speaking of the Patriots, if you go to their Wiki page it says they are based in the "Greater Boston" area. :pound:

No, we get it. The calendar goes from 1 BC to 1 AD, so every decade is technically 1-10, 11-20. The new millennium was technically January 1st, 2001, but the whole world celebrated it a year earlier. Every "of the decade" list starts with the 0-9 years.

Nobody in the world really goes by the technical calendar way 1-0. They go by the common 0-9 way that is commonly taught with base-10 numbers.

If Pittsburgh can get the defensive side of the ball back to a relatively decent level of play, we will be making noise once again.
Pretty good chance of that happening... But I say that every offseason lol
